  • Minus 5 - worth it?

Has anyone gone to Minus 5 in Mandalay? Or at least I think it's in Mandalay? Seems like kind of a hassle w/ renting the coat and such, but is it worth it?

I had a friend who got comps for 5 guys to go in with the coats and such. There was nothing to do in there, it was empty and we just had a drink and basically took off. The only cool thing (pun intended) is that EVERYTHING is made off ice in there: tables, sculptures, glasses, chairs, benches. But once that novelty wore off, the fun was over. I think it's around $10 - 20 bucks to get in plus drinks. I would spend that money somewhere else to drink wherever the women are!!

Hmmm, do I need to wear pants?

Haha, that sounded wrong. I mean, I'm a girl and going in May so will be wearing really short shorts most of the time. Could I get away with short and the coat or will I need to bundle up before going? Might be kind of inconvenient to go to Mandalay in heavier clothes. But I really want to hold an ice cup!

Like hunter Dallas said... its cool to check out for the fun of it being all made of Ice. It's not somewhere you can hang out given the freezing temp, and I believe they won't let you stay past an hour. But taking pics in those big fur coats they let you rent is suppose to be quite an experience... I haven't been myself, but my coworker went and said it was quite an experience.

            minus 5 - MB & MC !

There's one in Monte Carlo now, too!

It's something I've wanted to check out but not for full price, which I think is $30 for half a hour, including two drinks. Sounds like a 2-4-1 or some sort of comp would be the way to go...
