Getting a big group into XS/TAO - any advice?

First, I just wanna say that this site and the forums have been really awesome resources for vegas nightlife info. I’d be so lost without it!

So anyhow, I’d like to ask some advice from you guys on getting into XS and TAO. My friends and I are visiting vegas and planning to celebrate my friend’s bday over the weekend. The tentative itinerary for my group, composed of three girls and six guys, is:

-Friday: XS
-Sat: Tao
-Sun: Tryst

She (the bday girl) REALLY wants to do XS and Tao, so those are pretty much set in stone for Fri and Sat. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on the quickest and least painful way for us to get in XS and Tao (taking into consideration our guy/girl ratio) on these days? What is everyone’s experience at these two clubs?

We all really want this to be an awesome weekend for her, so we're trying to plan everything as much as possible in advance. We’re can’t do bottle service unfortunately, cause some people in our group can’t afford it. And it seems like the guestlists are only available for women only (???). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Your best bet is you give one of the contacts on the JC contact page a call and see about getting on the guest list or just having them walk you guys in but with a group your size i'd say your lookin' at about 2 bills which is about 20 per person.

Seriously. SIX guys and THREE girls? No bottle service? Unless you know a manager there, I'm fairly certain neither XS nor Tao (or any big club in Las Vegas) will do much for you...I hate to sound blunt, but that's the way it is.

i would definitely get in contact with someone beforehand. i was at XS with a group of 8 girls last saturday night & it was crazy! one of my girlfriends has a friend that lives in vegas & he knew someone that was working the line..thank god cause there would have been no way i would have waited in that line. we got there about 11pm & there were two lines (general admission / table reservations) that were at least an hour wait. we bypassed the lines but our contact was running around like a crazy man & was no where to be found by the time we got up to the door so we ended up having to pay cover.

I can see that happen at XS. They don't want anyone loitering outside like the line-ups (or lack thereof) at Prive. For my second time to XS, I had to tell my group to stop following me around while I was calling one of the hosts, Sean, to meet me at the front. I kept shuffling around because the XS security were acting just like Tao security ("you can't stand here", "you have to move", etc.) and I was outside and Sean was telling me to wait directly in front of the security!

Your comment about waiting in line mirrors many of my friend-girls. They HATE waiting in line. I'm completely resigned to it in that a.) I ain't paying to grease if I don't have to. b.) I have a penis and having penis sucks in Las Vegas if you don't roll large.

Seriously though, to anyone that doesn't want to wait in line in new or popular Las Vegas nightclub, don't f*ck around and then show up at 11 pm or midnight (the worst). If a host or people say 10:00, get there @ 10:00. I had a table booked at Pure once and the guys I was supposed to roll in with took an hour to arrive. I was motherf*cking pissed. We not only lost our table (which the group didn't have the balls to really tell me that they didn't want to do tables), but my hookup was pretty upset (they were walking from Planet Hollywood).

You could get there early and wait in line and pay $30 a person...

or you can contact a host and tip him at the least $100 and he would most likely get you through the line and free admission after that... so your basically skipping the line for $10 or more if you decide to toke more.
