I was wondering if you can bring your own beer/bottles at some of the pools that is open to the public n is free to get in? I cant imagine being at the pool and dropping $10 a beer throughout the day and then go out that night too...

Uhh this maybe depends on where, but when i stayed at Stratosphere I remember them taking my yardlong and putting it behind the counter. I couldn't even bring it in, which resulted in my trying my best to chug it!

Not a very good idea... but yeah you get what im saying... where are you staying?

i am staying at the cosmopolitan in july... i have stayed at ceasers before and walked into the pool with beer from the hotel room before n no complaints.
Since I am staying at the cosmo, we prob. will hit the regular pool and not the dayclub.

public pools for hotel guest tend to have problems with the yard sticks you get off the strip, i know my friends did when they were trying to get into the aria pool for hotel guests, they had to go back to the room and drop it off or get it trashed, but anything else I believe is fine.

If you can bring a backpack in, you can get away with it if you bring the same kind of beer served at the bar or use the same type cup for a mixed drink. It's best to buy one from the bar first to not arouse suspicion.

Last year I saw a group of guys get kicked out of venetian's hot tub because they brought in a couple cases and trying to distribute a bunch to random girls. It was hilarious. Once they were gone, everyone just cracked jokes...

Some pools may want to check your backpack before letting you in (dayclubs DEFINITELY search everything - bags, purses, etc.), but normal hotel pools may let it slide.

Just make sure that nothing you bring in is in a -glass- bottle or it will be confiscated at first sight regardless of what story you have about where you got it. It's plastic/aluminum only at the pools.

What about water? If I wanted to bring in a bottle of water is that doable? Will they care? Are they just going to look to see if it's sealed? We'll be hitting up Bare on a Sunday so there's your context if it matters.
