  • Vegas at the end of September

Hi everyone, I've just joined the site after reading for many months all of your great information about the facets of Vegas!

I'm heading there for my 21st on the 27th September with three of my friends from Australia. None of my friends have been to the U.S. before and I've only been to vegas when I was about 10, so I can barely remember it.

I've got a few questions, hopefully nothing too simple and trying on your patience

I arrive the day before I turn 21 (I turn 21 on the 28th). Will there be a problem with me checking into our rooms or will they make we wait until midnight?

Another question relates to gambling/drinking after midnight. I know here from some friends in the industry that you're only 18 (our age limit) after the close of business so if I wanted to get a drink I'd have to wait until the next night. Anyone know if is the case in Vegas?

I have more questions over the course of the next few months so hopefully you don't get to sick of me!

    Thanks,
    Clay

I'm not sure on how checking into your room will how, however as far as gambling/drinking I know that you have to wait until the next "gaming" day and I believe the gaming day is over around 3-4a.m.ish, or at least that was the gaming day in SD when I worked at a casino. Now for drinking since their is no last call I have no clue, I know here in SD if you go after midnight when its "technically" your bday their not supposed to serve you because as far as alcohol day it ends at 2am instead of midnight.

Not sure about the hotel, but Id think you can drink after midnight, since there are not regulated "consuming hours" in Vegas.

        alright, hopefully that's the case.

My friends will already be 21 so the alcohol won't be problem, we'll go to a liquor store before we get there. I just thought it would be fun hitting up a bar at the stroke of midnight, seeing what attention it gets me

Another question I had was about dressing attire. Sorry, I know it's been done to death on every forum, it's just that our clubs here can be really judgment (i've been turned away for not wearing white shoes, I had black leather shoes on) even if you are dressed to specifications. Me and my friends aren't your male model equivalents and I don't particularly want to be hopping from club to club trying to get in anywhere.

We'll do bottle service one of the nights, but it's too expensive everynight. If we are going out on monday, tuesday and wednesday nights where are the best places to experience hotness without being turned away at every doorstep?

yeah I was hoping that'd be the case. My friends will be able to check in and I'll fix it up with them later.

I'm sure by the 5th shot everyone in wherever I am will be aware that it's my birthday . Unless they're only small shots...
