Best NY/Manhattan clubs

Hi I am visiting NY june 29-july 5th.

Can anybody pls reccommend some of their favorite NY clubs?

I know they wont be as big as Vegas but I'm looking for places like Tao, XS - house/hip hop music, mixed crowds, i can get table service etc etc

I will be staying in Murray Hill but expect to travel around Manhattan to get to the clubs.

I avoid the NYC club scene, way more pretentious than LV. However I went to Cielo once that was a cool spot. LAVO NYC is the new place to see and be seen though.

I hear Soho and Meatpacking district are the main spots for clubs?

1 Oak. Can be difficult to get into, but it's a great time once inside.

Heard good things about Cielo, one of my buddies was friends with some strippers, and that's their favorite club. Otherwise, I'd check out the meatpacking district. There are a few places all within a block or two, so you can gauge the crowds roaming around. Clubplanet may still be a good resource to check out.... haven't been into the scene in a while though.

I love Goldbar and Cielo is an AWESOME party-it reminds me of Vegas

There are a ton of clubs in east village (try 1st) that are not pretentious and you can hop. Plus some have hookah which is fun. And like most people say, meatpacking is pretty awesome but def not laid back.

I spent a short weekend out there a few years back an hit up a club in Manhattan. I was just walking through the stores and asked a security what good. He pointed me in the direction of a few places. I went to his #1 recommended place and it was pretty decent. Far different than LA clubs tho.

I was in NYC roughly one year ago and I guess things change quickly so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Cielo I found to be fairly average. Sander Van Doorn was spinning but the place was only half full. Not much fun. Was a place right next to it which was way more packed and higher energy. Cant remember the name thou.

1 Oak was more resembling of a vegas club. Good fun but almost a bit to much emphasis on the bottle service crowd.

Best I found in Manhattan was Juliettes. Awesome energy and crowd. More then I experienced in Vegas for 5nights even. Hard to get into! The also have a place in williamsbourgh but thats not as fun as the manhattan place.

Heard good things about some place called the green room but never went.

Marquee was fun, but it was 2 years ago since I was there. 2 years ago a place called Lotus was amazing aswell, I think they closed thou but the new joint seemed popular aswell, same location.

All in all NYC is definetly a fun place to go clubbing in!
