I have a trip planned in Manhattan in June, and have booked a hotel through Priceline. I was just wondering if any of the NYCers on here think the $20 sandwich will work there for a hotel room or they will look at me like an idiot? I don't want to get stuck in a shitty room facing a trash compacter or something. Any thoughts?? I am staying at the Intercontiental Barclay if that helps.

I spent 7 weekends in NYC... used priceline for my hotel each time. Once or twice was a bad view. One time was even at the W... but didn't care cause my room was nice. Other times I had a great room with amazing views.
I think they tend to stick priceline people in those rooms. I would just suggest asking for a room with a view.
I never tipped for anything better... for me... it was just a place to sleep and shower... was not in the room much.Vegas Trips:

It'd be a long shot in my opinion.
I live here, so I've never tried it at a hotel. But it's pretty rare at clubs (at least from my experience). Bartenders, waiters, some doormen, and anyone like that usually know the deal, but it's just not the same as it is in Vegas.Comment
