I've been reading and learning a lot on these forums, it's certainly a great resource!
I'll be heading to Vegas for the first time in June. It looks like I'll be staying at the Mirage since I found what seems to be a great deal (3 nights, M/T/W, for $260 + resort fees). I was originally looking at staying at the Hard Rock, but decided I want to stay more in the middle of things.
I'm curious if anyone has recent experience staying at the Mirage during the week and if so, would you recommend it? I'm really just looking for a great atmosphere for gambling and hanging out at the bar(s).
I have a pretty good sized gambling budget, since that will be my main source of entertainment while there. While it's not a budget that is going to get me a free suite or anything (I'm not really looking for that anyway since my room is paid for by my company), it's significantly more than I'm comfortable flying out with in cash in my pocket.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a specific person to contact at the Mirage (casino host I would assume?) to figure out the best way to bring my money? I would expect a cashiers/certified check, but I'd like to have a specific person to talk to/work with in order to make sure everything goes okay.
Thanks in advance!
