Sometimes a night at a crappy club like ROK Vegas can be better than Pure.

Last trip to Vegas I hit up ROK Vegas at The New York. As far as the club, it was okay. It had a decent dance floor and got the job done. I already new about the clubs shitty rep, but I thought the club was ok since I got in free with no girls, and there was no line. Just me and my guy friend. That was a big plus for the ROK.

Anyway, the night I went to the club, most of the women there were in the 7 range (down to earth). A few girls approached me with openers (questions), one asked if I was a promoter, quite a few gals gave me good eye contact, 2 girls asked me to dance (which I gladly accepted). Wow, this like never happens! What a night! That was no bull shit.

I was at Pure the night before and got the opposite results. No eye contact from women, approached a couple girls but didn't get any interest, absolutely no vibe from women at all. All the guys there seemed like douchbags.

Pure is the better club, but ROK Vegas for that one night produced a much better vibe. I guess crappy clubs can be good sometimes. I went up to XS the day after and it was a blast. It had a high female-male ratio, and the girls were mostly in the 7 to 9 range. They weren't stuck up like the girls at Pure that one night. I guess clubs are a lot about timing. I'm sure Pure could be good some nights.

I agree it's all about the vibe.

I love Vegas for its transparency. You know all the rules up front, you know that you need to pay to play, and you know it's all a performance with its staging, actors, showmen and audience.

One club may very well have The Look but it doesn't mean it has The Feel, and the vice-versa is true as well.

It's all about the Energy. (As frou frou as that sounds). If you are fortunate to get a good number of people who are GENUINE in their desire for a good time, happy to participate in their journey to achieve it, and ready to step outside and/or ready to transform their comfort zone into something bigger and generally more accessable, you've got a formula for a kick ass night.

Expectations are the Leading Causes of Dissapointment, and Vegas has no problems with setting expectations very high for the casual observer, and the common result is dissapointment.

If you give vibe/atmosphere a chance over the perception of a fantasy, you are much more likely to see a higher ratio of participation by everyone there.

So TL;DR version: It most definately is all about the vibe.
