  • Which hotel has the best pool?

Haven't been to Vegas during pool season and I'm probably going to try Tao Beach and EBC during my visit this May, but my group is going cheap on hotels and want to figure out which bargain comes with the best pool. We're considering the following hotels:

    Circus circus
    Rio
    Stratosphere
    Excalibur
    The Palms
    Luxor

    Thanks for the advice!

Hey there, I actually work for the Palms... If you are looking for a place to stay with an amazing pool we are definitely where you wanna be. I could offer you my 10% discount off of any room at the Palms or Palms Place, just call 866-725-6773 and give them the promo code: 9GJBANA
I hope that helps you out... Besides the pool I also work for the nightclubs (Playboy, Moon, Rain and Ghostbar) so please contact me if you need help setting something out there as well!

If you choose Circus Circus you probally have brain damage lol. def the Palms. Of couse Mandalay bay has the best pool hands down. The Mirage and Mgm grand have great pools. The Flamingo is a cheap hotel and probally a top 5 in pools.

and i'll vouch for janelle...i was in consistent contact with her last summer planning my bachelor party and even though we ended up elsewhere than the palms, she was still expedient and gracious with all questions and requests.

Out of that list Palms by far! If you want another option with a GREAT pool atmosphere and inexpensive rooms, go for MGM. They have Wet Republic as well, but their regular pool area rocks!

                      lol.

you really should consider omitting Excalibur, Stratosphere and Circus Circus from your list

+1 on Flamingo, if you do the $20 tip trick you can prob get upgraded to a Go Room with a nice view, it's got a nice pool and it's in the center of the strip.

My top 3 pools on the strip are MGM), Mandalay Bay, and Flamingo

i mean, it really depends on what type of atmosphere you're looking for. even the regular pools at different hotels have different vibes. out of the ones you mentioned, yea, definitely throw circus circus, strat and excalibur off your list. i would imagine most on this forum would agree with me on that.

palms pool is a great vibe...more partying than the others, especially on the weekends. rio treads between familyish and laid backish and is eh. luxor is just eh. as for the others that people have mentioned, mgm and mandalay have great pool complexes but both can have a LOT of kids running around. mgm has a lazy river that attracts kids and mandalay has a beach that attracts kids. flamingo has a beautiful pool area and like someone said above, the $20 trick should get you a newer go room. and you're dead in the middle of the strip.

if you wanna have a fun, party atmosphere without having to do daylife everyday, palms is your spot. if you want a beautiful tropical pool area that also has a good atmosphere and be in the middle of the strip, flamingo is your spot.

Thanks for all the advice! Last time I stayed at TI which was perfectly adequate considering it wasn't pool season. But this time I'm going with cheapskates that still think you can do Vegas hotels for 12 bucks a person They are very seriously considering Luxor...

Will probably just end up booking separately with my two girlfriends anyhow, so no worries. Thanks again!

I stayed at Flamingo last year with 3 of my buddies, (ages 27-30) We stayed over 4th of July weekend, arrived Thurs and left on 4th of July.

Anyways, if you wanna nice room, definitely try the upgrade trick or pay a little extra for a GO Room. I was in a couple of them and they are pretty sweet.

The standard rooms are pretty standard, however I was the only one in the group who didnt smoke, so we had smoking rooms, so maybe the smoking floor is a little more dated...im not sure.

As far as the pool, definitely a nice vibe on the standard pool which you get free admission to, and the GO pool (adults only) (Im thinking $15 or $20 admission for guys regardless if your a guest or not, not sure if ladies get in free?)

We listened to the bouncers advice and went to the standard pool on Thurs, and then rented a Couch/Lounge area with bottle service at the GO Pool on Friday. As the day went on the party got better, was a pretty relaxed atmosphere with a good mix of people. Lots of fun and Id do it again, definitely liked the surroundings compared to the Rios' pool. Had stayed at the Rio a couple times, like the rooms, but not the pool so much.

We're going to give the Tropicana a try this year. Hoping it will be a good time. Have fun on your trip!
