Open decks nights?

I'm probably seriously on the wrong website here, but I'll have a quick ask anyway because you guys seem to be the ones in the know about Vegas. Are there Any clubs or bars in Vegas with an open decks night? Obviously I'm sure the glitzy glamorous clubs won't have, but I'm a club dj over here (mostly house), and to be able to say I'd played in Vegas would seriously boost my reputation, even if it was only in a crappy bar somewhere. Just a thought

You're going to find you're mostly out of luck. I'm sure there's some battles/stuff like that from time to time, but nothing regularly... and I've been a resident DJ here for 3 years now.

Best thing you can do if you're from out of town looking to play in Vegas is to link up with a company that does stuff down here, convention like, alot of companies throw parties during the different conventions (magic, bar&nightclub, SEMA, etc) and they bring guest DJs along.

Great way to network too, that's how I land most of my out-of-town gigs, spinning for various companies during their events/stuff. That's more planning though.

Ahh cheers dude, I didn't think it was very likely, just wanted to find out if there was a chance. Can't really do any proper work while I'm out there 'cos I won't have a working visa. Hence just looking for open decks in a bar somewhere. It's a lot easier to get a set in Ibiza!!

Think I'll just try and get some photos in a dj booth somewhere to wind up my mates with instead.

My buddy tried and he got an offer at the V Bar in the Venetian. In the end, it wasn't worth his time since they were going to offer him a four hour set of what he'd get paid for an hour's worth back home.
