  • Alright opinions on suites...

So im going in april with a group of 9, my wife and i are the only ones who have been to vegas before. I tried to explain to the others how bottles ervice for a group of our size was a must...despite all my explaining and laying out the numbers no one wants to pay 150+ a head to do the B/S.

So to the point i was thinking of just renting a suite the first night we get there which is a wednesday so it wont be too expensive and just purchasing alcohol at a liqour store and having our own little bash for the first night and then resume the next 2 nights at the luxor as planned.Im looking at the mandalay bay media suite or vista suite, and also the penthouse loft at the tropicana..how does this sound? any other suggestions for hotels would be great. trying to keep it around the 250-350 a night mark.

Vista suite at the Mandalay Bay is nice, but for some reason, I prefer the Junior Suites at THE HOTEL. I feel like the modern feel is a different touch from the suites at Mandalay Bay, which seems like the Wynn, etc.

I'd go with the penthouse loft at the tropicana. Not only is the view nice, it's probably the cheapest one, newly renovated, and very nice, plus tropicana always has specials for their suites. Also, why are you doing luxor? It's not the best hotel, the resort fee sucks, and there are much better options. I'd take tropicana over luxor any day.

I think you should consider the Tower Suites or Hospitality Suites at Mirage for your night of holding your own party. They're very reasonable considering they are brand new and totally modern. You can fit a bunch of people in there and they even come with 1 bedroom or 2.

You could also have an absolutely ridiculous pool party if you rented one of their 2-bedroom Lanai's for $2,000 a night. The 1-bedrooms are about $1,500 a night. They have a huge living room and then a patio that extends to your own private outdoor pool/jacuzzi. Picture Nick Papageorgio's suite in Vegas Vacation - that's what you'd be working with, but more modern.
