  • Tao - Thursday night - Making the right choice....

    Guys

I have a group of 7 guys travelling to Vegas 1st week in May. We are going to hit Tao on Thursday night and do bottle service as we want it to start with a 'bang' !

Anyway, I need your advice as to what to do. So far I've been offered:

2 bottle min - Opium Room (in effect $700 min as bottles start at $350 on thursdays)

3 bottle min - Main room (3 bottle/$1050 min). Can't be specific about where in the main room.

I am not sure we can afford Moat area, therefore what would you go with of the first two options ? We are in our early 30's...

Are there bad tables in the main room ? is it much better than the opium room on Thursdays ?

I guess it really depends on what you are looking for. The mainroom itself gets packed. For three bottle min. I'm guessing that you will be either in those Cabana type tables, not sure what they are called, but they are tables 20-22 which are to the side of the main bar and offer a bit more room or you could be upstairs along the balcony near where the girls washroom is or the tables behind the main bar. Personally, I prefer the balcony option.

The opium room is less crowed and has fewer tables, but a lot more room to manouver around.

If you can, I would get a table either in the main room or up at Tao Beach.

Main room balcony or Tao Beach. The Opium room is like a big Frat party and the lower level of the main room (although cabanas are better) is way too crowded. Better yet, skip TAO and hit Tryst. Nicer club, better crowd, and decent deals on Thursdays. Tryst patio tables are hard to beat!

Does anyone know what the table min is for the Moat area? What is people's experiences of getting a table there?

                Mike,

IMO, moat is the best area, especialy the 40's.. which is the 1st tier behind the df tables, you have large areas, and you can stand and look down on df..

                thats my 2 cents

Does Tao still do walk-ins for ladies? I remember last April something happened at Tao one night and for that night they stopped all walk-ins. Every other time I have gone before that they always had walk-ins just for girls....Anyone know?? Im going with a group of 5 other girls from a bachelorette party (Mar 31 - April 4)

I'd pass on lounge level. It's small and really separate from the rest of the club. (yea tao beach is separate too, but it draws a crowd upstairs especially in the summer)

The lounge level is terrible. If you're set on TAO, apend the extra money and get a table somewhere in the club or outside (TAO Beach).
