I guess Its about time I break down and post a trip report... I just spent 3 weeks in Vegas 2/12 - 3/5, and I survived. To be honest, I was out there for work so it wasn't a full 3 weeks of partying but I still managed to have some fun.Ill try and hit some of the highlights. I was there a while ...so Ill break it down by the week
First 5 days were pretty much work days. Stayed at the swanky Tuscany on Flamingo, due to convenience + its cheap !
Missed my flight Sat. Morning due to having my head up my ass....looked at the flight info from last months trip and thought I was flying out at 4pm... I double check at 11am .. flight leaves at 11:30 and airport is 2 hours away... totally not gonna make it.. so I find a closer Airport, buy a ticket....and realize I bought it for the wrong day...fuck !
Instead of being pissed off... I find another flight, and decide to go first class to make myself feel better for being such a fuck up... I gotta be there for work the next day...so its off to the airport...flight ends up being delayed... I miss my connection in Philly and am looking at spending the nite in philly ..not Vegas ...
Staying in Philly is not an option... at this point I have already bought 3 damn palne tickets just trying to get there tonite.... I end up giving up my first class seats and sitting in the back row of a plane next to the shitter ( asile seat at least ) ....but im on my way to Vegas !
I make it to Vegas that nite, and check into the Tuscany...meet up with a few people I am working with and go out for some drinks/gambling to wind down.
Sunday nite we went to Ghostbar .. a friend of mine is one of the resident Dj's there...and I always get B1G1 on bottle service as well as my choice of table... 4 people.....two bottles.. we ended up drinking till almost 4am .....there was a decent crowd...had a grat time... I have a tradition of being horribly hung over my first day of work in Vegas... tradition lives on !
Tuesday nite we went to see AfroJack / Aoki @ Surrender .. I think this may have been the highlight of the trip. My Friend from the palms call one of his friends that is a host and got us an awsome table, for ONLY 2500 ! ...what a steal !! We were in the VIP section rite next to the DJ booth behind the velvet rope in the private section. I think there were 4 booths back there ...AfroJack , Aoki , Us and Lance Armstrong, who had just announced his retirement that nite, or the nite before... he seemd to be having a good time...and was even dancing on the stripper pole.. The music was great ....both DJ's tore it up ...and sprayed the audience down with a HUGE bottle of Dom... there were definatley lots of bottles poppin back there !
took the next few days off and tried to be in shape for work...lol ...checked out of the Tuscany on Thursday and headed to THE Hotel @ Mandalay.... managed to upgrade my corner suite to a T suite on the 61st floor... thru talking to the manager...se released it out of the VIP pool for me ... YAY !...
best meals of week 1 : Musashi Japaneese steak house ( on paradise ) Auroele ( Mandalay ) and RM Seafood ( Mandalay )...Wynn Buffet ( they had freakin lobsters on the buffet !)
