  • A thought on the hosts contact list

I was just glancing through the contacts list on the main site, and it occurred to me that a lot of the guys listed aren't the ones usually recommended and used by the forum regulars. That's not to say the guys on the list aren't any good, but it might be nice to give some love to the hosts who always look out for us, and of course the hosts like Mikey, Donnie etc who post on here.

What do the rest of you guys think? Might it be possible to add two or three hosts per club, or something like that?

I was wondering the same thing being new here. Any regulars have advice? Or I should say, what do you recommend? Using a host on the main page or one active on the boards that some regulars seem to like? Is there a difference?

I totally agree. The hosts listed on this site are often times managers who end up passing you off to someone else at the door, so we should give some love to those that we acutually see.

If you're using a regular that is posting/getting love on the boards, then you're getting a "real-time" recommendation, so you do the math (always have backups just incase)

As far as the list on the main site. This has been discussed before. There are a few different factors that go into deciding who is listed, I know Jack is completely open to changing it up based upon members experience though.

One thing to keep in mind is "with great power comes great responsibility"; being listed on the main site is serious business. For all the members that come and post in the forums and what not, there are probably 100+ that just browse the site, get the contacts and email/text/call the hosts. So these hosts are getting a LOT of traffic and I know some don't want to/cant handle that kind of demand.

I'd say, keep praising the hosts that are doing a great job. Jack reads the forums and takes note of trend changes and I'm sure has/will approach some of these hosts not listed to see if they'd actually want to be listed At the same time, if you're a host that has been getting a lot of praise and would like to step-up to the challenge, I'm sure contacting Jack to plead your case would be acceptable and very lucrative :P

I appreciate all the emails/texts/calls I get from the members, and since I know it's word of mouth or word of message board, it's even better. Our company requires that our guest services managers be listed on the site, so when I receive emails and texts, I know its from members who definitely are knowledgeable about the site and have taken time to read many different posts most likely.

I've been wondering the same thing. I am no stranger to Vegas, but I have always just walked up and greased my way in to clubs. Part of me isn't real comfortable with contacting a host out of the blue, but then again the squeeky wheel gets the oil, right?

I think it can be fixed by adding an additional category..

keep the free direct contacts link the way it is..

just add a additional sticky at the top of the message board that only moderators can post in and call it JACK COLTON Recommended Hosts..

                      Have names, numbers and emails.

this keeps the director contacts in line on the front page, and lets the voice of the members be heard also..

                      just a thought.
