  • Host tipping/guestlist - Sat & Sun

Looking for some advice just so I'm crystal clear on how this goes down...

I'll be in Vegas next weekend. As it is a busy weekend, are the preferred hosts listed on this site still able to help out w/guest list and/or quick entry? And I'm looking for both host and non-host feedback here...what's a solid $ amount for tipping the guy who gets you in? Would this tip include cover or not (stamp, etc)? I wanna make sure I'm fair or more than fair, especially if I'm gonna be able to skip a line.
    Nothing interesting to add here...

So glad someone asked this, I have been wondering the same thing!

Good question - maybe one of the long-standing members or hosts who frequent the board can answer.

Basically give your host a text and say you have so many people in your group, and can they get someone on the door to walk you past the queue.

I think we generally say $20 on top of cover for guys, so if it's $30 cover and he waives your cover you give him $50 per person. Girls I think we say $10, but then they generally don't pay cover so just keep it at $10.

This might be kind of a weird question but what if the line is not a problem and you get in line really early so cover is the only issuer? Would hosts help you out with the cover then and then all you have to pay is the tip?

If the line's not a problem then why do you need the host? Or you mean you want to save money on cover? I can't really imagine how that would work, but hypothetically speaking if they were happy to do that, even if you give them a really small tip, you're saving like $20. Vegas nightclubs are not the sort of place you should visit if you're worried about saving $20.
