Whats the deal with bottle service?

Ive never been to vegas or any high end club for that matter. Im really confused about bottle service and if it is worth it. With a group of 4 would you usually get it? Its one guy (me) and 3 girls.

I hate waiting in line to get a drink which might be worth it just to get the bottle service. Also, how many drinks do you get out of one bottle and do they charge you to make mix drinks and shots?

But, regarding the amount of liquor in bottles from bottle service, it depends on the alcohol you purchase.

If it's something like a standard bottle of rum, whiskey, vodka and gin (the basics), you'll get a 26oz bottle (as my American friends call it - a fifth of ...)

Some places will sell you the forty ounce bottle also.

Then you have "The Magnum". This is the 60 oz bottle and costs about twice the amount of the 26oz bottle.

If you get something more specialised, like Alize, it might be less than a 26oz/a fifth.

if you can spend a few hundred each and not stress about it, its very worth it....for the prestige, place to sit, no waiting in lines etc, but if moneys tight and will cause stress or fighting then its not for you

That's a great question. For the cost of a bottle I would have assumed it would be a liter bottle. I adittedly have not done bottle service in Vegas, and never had to pay for it or pay attention to bottle size in Chicago.

The way I drink I could put down a fifth by myself pretty quickly if the setting is right. Then again.. i'll be drinking all day too so maybe it's not as bad as i'm thinking.

my apologies, I believe it is a liter NOT a fifth.....I was alittle confused for a minute!!!

Yeah, a liter = 1000 ml

A fifth = 750 ml

A liter has about ~5.5 more shots than a fifth.

A lot of places...

will sell the 26oz/a fifth sized bottle. I can't remember of any place that provides the 40oz bottle.

If you go to a place like Mix,they will sell you the 325 ml / mickey sized bottle for 100.00 or so.
