  • Encore vs. Cosmo Help!

    Hey guys,

I'm planning a bach party for 20+ guys this July and am deciding between Cosmo and Encore. We're already going to a bach party a few weeks beforehand in Cosmo, so I'm concerned about everyone doing the same exact itinerary twice (e.g. STK->Marquee, Marquee dayclub etc.). The prices are similar for regular rooms based on group rates at both places (Cosmo a little cheaper), but the suites at Encore are more than double (suite would be for bachelors to sleep in and others to pregame at). What do you guys think?

Should we just all give the bachelors some money to afford a big suite at Encore, then do XS, EBC etc.? Or forget about the suite and just have the bachelor get a regular room without a central meeting spot?

Or should we go back to Cosmo for the cheaper suite, and try to plan a diff itinerary without repeating the same in-hotel places?

Any other options appreciated. Ultimately, we're just looking for the best party possible without feeling deja vu.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Those are good plans, but just my opinion - - you should consider the Palazzo as well, if you're looking for ample room for multiple guests. Their rooms are huge and you've got comparable food and nightlife options... Palazzo you can do CUT, Carnevino, or Delmonico's on property, and Tao / Lavo for nightlife, Tao Beach for Daylife.

Plus, Palazzo shares a pedestrian bridge between itself and Wynn / Encore, where you can do all things Wynn / Encore just a short walk (and I mean short).

Thanks BSM. What's the crowd like at Encore and Cosmo these days. Do they both have young crowds? I'm afraid the higher prices at Encore might lead to an older, more male crowd, which is obviously not what we're looking for...

I noticed cosmopolitan had a younger crowd.. you cant go wrong with cosmo. suites are awesome and it's a great location on the strip. if you stay in the east tower you can walk out of your room and be on the strip in under 5 mins.

Higher prices, not too much different between Encore and Cosmo. Cosmo certainly has a better vibe right now.

I'm not entirely sold on the Cosmo rooms. A lot of the reviews (Vegas Tripping etc) suggest the rooms are quite cheaply finished. Encore are still the best standard rooms in town, I guess it's just if you want a more central strip location.

We fit like 25 people in my room at Encore though, so they're more than big enough to pre-game in, you won't need a suite, just if you can afford it.
