I was there Sat night and had a great time. It comes down to realizing that this is their 1st "big night" sure there was some confusion but i expected that. Some people are incredibly inflexible and have a very firms tick up their ass. I Heard some of the same complaints about Marquee when it opened, hell just about any place I have been to in it's first couple weeks has to iron things out. Whether it be a store, restaurant club etc. By summer I am sure it will be on the top of some peoples lists.

i always read between the lines on yelp. some people are compelled to go on there cause they are haters lol they dont go to clubs anyway and got shut out or something. take it with a grain of salt.

Hmm... thats unfortunate but to be expected. I'm sure it'll be better once they iron out all the wrinkles. We'll see if they make the cut for my July Trip

I agree. I went on there not too long ago and everyone said the same thing about every club: "crowded, loud and over priced" It's like people that hate clubs are review clubs.

Yea, you can't trust Yelp when it comes to mainstream nightclubs. Based on their reviews, that audience clearly prefers bars and places with little lines / crowds.

A word on Chateau......

The complex as a whole, which includes Sugar Factory, the restaurant, the daytime beer garden, the chocolate bar, and the outdoor areas is actually kind of cool. They really have something going on all the time. And the restaurant, which is accessible from the street, is open 24/7 and has a latenight menu. Thats a bonus.

The nightclub itself is something like 12,000 ft (smaller than Lavo) and the lack of a spacious dancefloor will have a lot of people bitching. But! The outdoor terrace helps alleviate that problem and they are opening a massive new deck above the club on the roof of the casino, which is slated to be "the gardens."

All told it would be easy to feel crowded if you only stayed in the nightclub, but the outdoor areas help solve that problem.

When you consider the total package, the celebrity programming, and keep in mind the team running it - I can see Chateau maintaining a full crowd similar to early Pure days.

The beer garden is a must hit on my radar for my upcoming trip, will check out sugar factory as well.

That's a bold statement in comparing it to pure in it's early days, impressive.

Yelp is often full of people who don't understand how things work at Vegas clubs.

They complain about long lines, doorman trouble, not having a place to sit, crowded dance floors, etc... A lot of the reviews are comical to read.

Well the star rating song on Yelp are similar to the consensus on this board. The Encore clubs have the highest ratings but the angry people do tend to lash out in the beginning but then they tend to even out over time. I do disagree with some reviews and then some clubs aren't for everyone.

With Yelp, you kind of have to filter which reviews apply to you, which are just employees of the place singing it's praises, or angry customers who probably won't have a good time under the best of circumstances.

According to one of the forum members, apparently Hustler Club is one of the ones who require all of the staff to post "reviews."

In terms of Chateau being like Pure in the early days, I'm referring more to the management staff (largely the same as the original Pure) and their almost 100% celebrity-based event schedule. You will see the same thing at Gallery. The way they run their clubs definitely brings a certain type of crowd. You would almost always see the same "look" at Pure, LAX, and Tangerine in those days. Mainly tourists, very much so in dress code, lots of pinstriped collared shirts. Very New York.
