  • Venetian and Palazzo Views

    Hey guys,

For those of you who have stayed at the Venetian (or Palazzo) or know about the views, I have a question.

I'm checking in at the Venetian on Thursday, June 2nd. I've currently got a pair of Venezia Suites through a good deal with Expedia, but I'm planning on slipping a $50 at the front desk and asking to be put in the newly renevated Bella Suites in the Venetian Tower. I've read on the Twenty Dollar Trick web site that people are sometimes even upgraded to the Palazzo. It also helps when you're slipping the $$ to ask SPECIFICALLY what you're looking for.

So I pose this question: In terms of views, what is going to present the best view if I end up in the Venetian Tower? Should I be asking for a Strip View (which I assume faces you toward Treasure Island and the Mirage) or should I be asking for a pool view? If I get upgraded to the Palazzo, any specific view that would be best?

Have a few pretty ladies coming with, want to get the best possible for their first Vegas impression.

Strip view for Palazzo is a win. Plus it's a pool view too cause the pools are towards the strip. But you're way up high, not like you're looking at much more than a handful of pools with dots moving around them.

If I end up staying in the Venetian Tower (more likely, I guess), what do you think?

The 20 dollar trick should work. I was there a few weeks ago and originally had a Venezia suite, slipped a 20 and got moved to Venetian Bella and given a strip view. As Mikey T said your not gonna be in your room too much to enjoy the view anyways. The Venetian Bella View suites will face Treasure Island and Mirage as you stated. The Venetian Tower compared to the Venezia is better for convenience for those that don't want to walk to the casino floor or food court or take more than 1 elevator.

We had three rooms on the 11th floor of the Venetian tower facing the strip but it was more of a pool view. The property is so large that unless you're really high up it may be hard to see much anyway. Also we were facing northwest and it would have been behind the st. Regis (?) tower further obstructing the view. Last year we had a eastern view on the 62 floor of the palazzo and the view was great. But, IMO I'd rather have a room upgrade with a non Strip view than a more basic room with a great strip view. But all of the rooms at the Venetian and the palazzo are really nice. IMO the best strip views are from pure or surrender etc.
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

I have to agree, the view from the Surrender Cabana balconies are the best views you can get.

I have, ahem, fond memories of Cabana 107.
