  • Sun/Mon Help Appreciated

I've been reading through this site for the past day or two and it has been very helpful.

I'm going to Las Vegas for the second time in a few weeks, but this time I am responsible for planning nearly everything. It is stressful. I want to have a fun time, get dressed up and go dancing while my friend is very laid back and doesn't care at all about what we do so long as things don't get crazy expensive. I'm way less concerned about things being moderately to crazy expensive.

If we're not interested in bottle service -- partly because it's expensive and partly because two girls drinking an entire liter of vodka is a bad idea -- what can we do to make getting into clubs a bit easier? Standing in high heels hurts.

I've found information about what places are best to visit on each night, but can't find anything about a simpler question -- which places are OPEN? I may not be too picky.

We're staying at Planet Hollywood. I arrive late Saturday night -- landing at 11pm -- and might want to go out, might not. Depends on how well the earlier part of my day goes. Mostly, I'm interested in finding a good, stress-free time on Sunday and Monday night.

What is etiquette regarding contacting hosts for a given night? Do I want to contact one host and stick with that plan or can I contact a few different places and fly by the seat of my pants? I imagine that's frowned upon.

I'm obviously uptight. All help is genuinely appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Edited to add:

Last time around, we visited Tao, Jet and Christian Audigier since we were staying at TI. I didn't like Tao AT ALL -- too many steps, too little room, quite enjoyed the lower-key atmosphere at Christian Audigier and might've liked Jet more if we hadn't gone there after walking from TI to Bellagio to Tao, up and down seventy flights of stairs and then to the Mirage before waiting in line.

Also, we were handed a bunch of passes/brochures for clubs as we walked around. I was oblivious to what was going on there.

    Sunday - XS/Lavo
Contact Ryan Perrings or Donnie for guestlist

    Monday- Marquee

By all means contact a bunch of different venues, its always better to bet set up at multiple venues in case things come up.

Thanks -- it's nice to know that I can have some options. I plan obsessively in advance and then throw fate to the wind when I get where I'm going.

How do XS and LAVO compare to The Bank on a Sunday night? I'm trying to schedule a show for before we head out to a club and each of those clubs -- XS excepted -- is near to a show we'd like to see.

Marquee is close to PH, so that's great, but I don't know how long I'll be able to tolerate house music; especially if my only escape from it is hip-hop. I like each in small doses.

      Whine whine whine.

      Thanks for the suggestions! Really.

Wow. I'm gonna totally agree with you.

Perhaps you've stumbled upon the wrong website. This may help you: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g...Vacations.html
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

I've read all there is to read there, too.

I'm just trying to find as much information as I can so that my friends and I can have a great time. Once I'm on the ground in LV, whatever will be will be. After a few strong drinks, few things will stand between me and a great time -- even staircases.
