Good news... I guess?

I'm still kind of new to these forums, but last time I checked in, I was slated to be deployed to Afghanistan, about now.

Thankfully, our dates got pushed back considerably and now we're not even going, instead going on the "booze cruise" of the Pacific in November.

The reason I'm here is because I wanted to throw a heads up to anybody who might be in town the weekend of the 25th of March. I have a couple of my younger Marines who have never been to Vegas before and I feel it is my responsbility as their "elder" to show them the best time possible.

So we're only going to be able to go there for one night, so bottle service is an absolute must, and I'm looking to front the bill to get the 3 of us a couple of bottles, probably at LAVO, since I've heard nothing but good things about that place recently.

We arrive Friday, but I think that's more going to be a chill out and check out Vegas for the two virgins, and maybe during the day Saturday check out the pools, if they're even open. But Saturday, it's looking to be the night we all regret.

I think I'll be able to get this whole thing under control in time, but as I figured it would be just retarded to not crack into the wealth of collective knowledge on these forums before making any final decisions..

First off, thanks for your service! Secondly, there's quite a few people from the forums that will be there that week/weekend so you should have no problem hooking up with some people. Check the "Get Connected" forum to see who will be in town during those dates. Make it a night to remember!

Ok, dumb question number one... will any pools be open on the weekend of March 25th?

aaaand lastly... Me and four other guys are looking to find a club to blow a good wad of cash at and spend the evening, obviously with a table, probably a booth with what we're throwing down. I'm in charge of picking the club, and right now I'm stuck between Lavo and Tao, and I've never been to either. The 5 of us are looking for a high energy night with plenty of mingling and dancing with the opposite sex, then hopefully talking a portion of the crowd to partying at the ridiculous suite we got at Planet Hollywood after the club shuts down. So if any experts can put in their opinions there, it would be much appreciated

Alright, definately thinking about Marquee after checking out the website... either way, same host I'll be contacting. Biggest complaint I've heard about Lavo is the size... I also heard this about The Bank and had an AWESOME time there on a Sunday. Anybody care to compare the two?

I think most of the pool parties should be open by mar 25, you should at least be able to find a couple.... unless you're unlucky and it rains or something.

I don't think you'll go wrong with tao or lavo or marquee. Marquee you'll have to drop the $$$ since its the new it club. I'd save that cash for Tao or lavo. Tao is big, gets very packed. Also, if you pick one you dont' really like... you can always finish up your booze and just walk over to the other one within 5-10 min (venetian and palazzo are connected) and I'm sure your host can help you get into the other club.

on Fri or Sat? But from my experience that is a 4 btl min, meaning you will prolly be in the 2nd row behind the dancefloor.

Alright... so I got my response from Donnie and liked what I heard

So, two more questions for yall, if it's not too much trouble.

1. How is the crowd at LAVO on a Saturday night typically?

2. Are the outside tables at Marquee that bad? I had a friend go this weekend and he got one and said he had a good time and only had a $500 minimum.

and for 5 bottles, the host at XS is saying I could get one of those little tables on the edge of the inside that seat 2-4... for a party of 6, this is no bueno, on top of a pretty decent tip... looks like XS is a no-go I've still heard nothing from anybody about LAVO lol, please, fill my head with stories!

It's hard to say, crowds vary weekend to weekend. Some may not like Lavo cause it's a smalelr club, but the reviews lately from members have been positive. hellomynameiskristin posted a field report which included lavo and she said the place was filled with girls.

So I've got the option at Tryst from either a dance floor table or one of the corner tables directly behind the dance floor tables... keep in mind, 6 guys, plus some possibly company.

I have a seating chart but can't find any pictures that show exactly how big each table is. Anybody got any input?

and B- if you're lookin for girls anything near a dancefloor is safe. Small can sometimes be ok, means the girls cant just sit they have to stand and dance for their free booze
