Thursday night dress code for guys ??

I've been to Vegas on Fridays & Saturdays previously, it's always been very glamorous and people make a real effort to dress well. A lot of the guys would be wearing smart slacks and a sharp shirt, coupled with good shoes. Really looking the part and the ladies also fully glam. I guess Vegas is a big weekend party for a lot of people flying in, so they want to make the effort.

This year I'll also be over and ready to party on a Thursday. I understand it's more of a locals night, so is the dress code typically more casual on a Thursday ?

I like to dress pretty sharp, I just don't want to look out of place if that's not typical on a Thursday night.

Thoughts ?

No casual for the clubs any night unless you're a industry local. You dress up every night for a top club or you risk not getting in.

Collars and a dress shoe are always preferred...
if you must wear sneakers..

you're in vegas to party and have a great time and enjoy your vacation, and you should always want to look your best. don't chance it, better to look overdressed than underdressed. and all the clubs have dress codes that are the same no matter what night it is. leave the casual stuff for us industry people, and also, it won't do you any good to complain to the door guy "...but you're letting that guy in with sneakers..." if you're wearing sneaks. chances are he's a regular and a local, and the rules are a little bit different. just a word of advice.
