  • Grocery Store on the Strip?

My gf and I had this wonderful idea of taking everything out of our minibar and putting snacks in there so we don't always have to go out and get food.

Are there any grocery stores on the strip, or somewhere we can buy like milk, cereal, yogurt.. ect?

Not gonna work be, the mini bar has a internal scale and once something is removed , chaching you bought it. It's another way for the hotels to discourage this.

Dry snacks, munchies, power bars, snickers , water Gatorade booze. If your determined a cheapy styrofoam cooler and fill it with hotel ice from the ice machine

Damn. I had a feeling. I'm not trying to be cheap, but my friend is diabetic and we need to always have things on hand for her.

We'll have to do that if she wants to have things that need to be kept cool.

There's also a Walgreens on the strip that I think you could probably pick some stuff up at if I remember correctly. Not a full grocery but if you have to have some food you'll at least have some options.

i'd do the small cooler filled it with ice from your floor's vending area. probably find one at the walgreens which i recall is somewhere between the flamingo and the mgm.

and don't worry about sounding cheap, things are expensive enough as it is. y'know i'm sure i'm not the only one with kids, a mortgage, daycare payments, etc. once we all get home we still need $$ to pay for real life.

OR you can do what us animal guys used to do, fill the sink up with ice and keep shit in it, but you lose the sink and have to brush teeth and everything in the shower whaich is kinda nasty but back in the spring break days we didnt care. but for 3.99 you could pick up the cooler....the walgreens is right next to mgm directly across from monte carlo

I couldn't do without the sink, but we could buy a cheap cooler! I was thinking buying a cooler would be expensive, but things in the States are a lot cheaper than up here.

I'll let you all in on my trick, because it always works no matter what, and it will especially work for you because you're not even lying.

Everytime I check into a hotel I tell them that I need a mini fridge because I've got medication that has to stay cold(which people just naturally assume is insulin). They won't charge you, and you'll get the fridge brought up within like 15 minutes of checking in.

I've done this every single time I went to Vegas because I like to have shit like cereal and milk in my room so I'm not spending $30 on breakfast, especially when all I really want to do is roll over, eat something, and pass back out.

Anyway, that is my secret tip!

Sweet, and the funny thing is that she DOES have insulin, but not the refrigerationed kind.

Haha, I am going to try this.

Well, I mean, what are they going to say, no?

"I need to refrigerate my medication that keeps me from dying, minifridge plz"

                              "No. Die."

                              "Taking my service elsewhere!"

But yeah, the only thing you should have to pay for is the dude who brings it up, I always give him $5-$10 depending on how friendly he is for bringing up the fridge. A lot of times they'll have club passes and stuff too that they'll give you.
