    Hi:

Long time lurker, first time poster. Love the boards.

Buddy of mine and I (both in our early 40s) are going for a long weekend/Divorce "party" in a couple of weeks and I (since I have more experience and am hosting the party) am in charge of planning table service/clubbing for one night--we've decided on Sunday night. I've done Table at the following clubs:

Lavo 2x--one time AWESOME--met lots of people, dancing, drinking, crazy...you know the drill...other time sucked--great service, couldn't start a party at our table.

Blush--1 time, really good. Met lots of people, lots of eye candy, good, mixed crowd. High quality. Not crazy, but good solid fun.

Gold--not good at all--little prob with the host left me with a bad taste.

Wondered what the board thinks would be good on a Sunday night. I'm tempted to go back to Lavo or Blush--I like the smaller clubs, but am tempted by Bank and by the (allegedly) "older" crowd (OK, our age) at Ghost Bar--never been there, but heard good things about the vibe and the view.

Any suggestions? Anything I'm missing? My buddy has been through a rough stretch and I would love to make sure he has a great time, drinks too much, meets interesting people--full on Vegas experience.

Thanks for any help! I promise a trip report!

I love The Bank on Sundays. Definitely seems to be an older more affluent crowd (because of the Bellagio), with a great mix of other fun people.

Great advice. Thank you, Kristin! How big is Bank compared to, say, Lavo?

I've never been to LAVO but from the looks of it, and from what I've heard it sounds like LAVO would be great too. I prefer smaller clubs, not this mega 35,000 sq ft nonsense. And LAVO is about the same size at The Bank.

Ghost, and most of the Palms for that matter, tend to be a younger crowd IME. However, it is a killer spot to start a night off. Epic view, good music. One of my favorite places to visit.

For Sunday night, try XS. It is probably the best spot for a Sunday night all out kind of deal.

Vanity gets solid reviews from a lot of people on here. That is an option as well.

Crowds vary. I have meet very BLAH people at Tier 1 clubs and very cool people at a random hole in the wall place (and vice versa)

Club hopping is the way to go if you want to ditch a lame crowd.

So if you have your hearth set on a table, you can always choose XS and then, if it isn't clicking, hop on over to Lavo (since it's just across the street)

Take your buddy out during the day. Go rent Ferrari's and drive around Vegas like mogul's or go buy some cigars or expensive booze at the Forum shops (and drink them) or give him an adreniline rush and go sky diving, bungie jumping, rifle shooting or hit up the zip-line downtown.

If he doesn't have the energy for all that (understanable) just get him a kick azz massage package and chill by the pool.

Lazy pool chairs, bloody Mary's and plenty of sun (aka Mr Vitamin D) have amazing healing properties.

          Good Luck!

XS on a sunday night is definitely worth it. Went not too long ago and had a great time.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll research XS too.

And, yes, he is going to have a pretty awesome time. This is special for him, so I have other cool stuff (though quieter stuff) planned. He's the kind of guy who would never do something special for himself, so I want to do it for him--hence the commitment to table service.

Would appreciate any other opinions, but it sounds like the forum is suggesting Bank or XS thus far, with Lavo and Vanity in the back pocket if those places don't roll. He also doesn't know it yet, but he is going to experience Drai's, and, I hope, sunrise in Vegas.

Thanks for the info re: the Palms clubs, too!

              Thanks!
