i know it sounds crazy, but july may work out better than well, may for us. how unbearable is the heat during the end of july? also, this time around we are going to want to see the grand canyon and hoover dam, will that even be worth attempting in july? im leaning towards july because we already visited during a holiday (NYE) and things are pricier for the week in may due to it being MDW. any tips/info/advice are welcome

July and August are the hottest months. Expect the heat to be in the 110deg area.

I am also going in July, and I can tell you I plan on my attire consisting mostly of shorts and tanks if a shirt at all.

July should be a good time, what dates are you thinking of?

Be sure to drink plenty of water and use plenty of sunblock. I can tell you from personal experience, drink water.

+1 Nothing ruins a Vegas trip more than a massive sunburn.

It will be incredibly hot in July, but the pool scene will be in full force, so the daylife is definitely worth going for. The nightlife is just as crazy in Summer. Encourages the ladies to wear less, which I think is always a plus for the guys.

Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon? Suggest you do it after Vegas or buy a postcard like I always do. I was out there in late July a couple years ago that sun is deadly but that makes ppl bare it all and go wild which was a positive.
I have not yet begun to defile myself.

I'm heading to Vegas in July as well and I was concerned about the heat. June was bad enough but I'm looking forward to spending my days at the pool party!

the last week in july was the option. im leaning towards trying to make MDW work due to the heat. but if july works better we may just have to grin and bare it. bad pun but couldnt resist. the fun part the last time was how easy it was to walk everywhere and even though it was cold by vegas standards it was still not uncomfortable. i was just worried that july would be uncomfortable. my wife is from dallas so the heat would be no problem for her.
another question, for mens club attire, does everyone wear short sleeves in the summer. just wondering if youre going to need long sleeves to get in or whether the short ones would work.
                  thanks

Yeah july is pretty crazy weather wise. I came from middle of winter over here last july, which made it a lot tougher. 5-10 degrees to 40 odd is a massive jump lol.
At times it was a bit on the unbearable side, but theres plenty of ways to play it smart and to avoid it being a major negative factor.

And in response to the attire question, i did see a few blokes wearing short sleeve tops... very few though. If it's stylish and your wearing the correct pants and shoes, i dont think it would be a major problem... although i could be wrong.

Yeah i realised just then that his inbox cant recieve any more messages... because i was sure i sent him an message earlier, but read just then that he's unable to recieve anymore until he's deleted some msgs!
So looks like i need to be associated for a little bit longer lol.

Also found my self looking at vegas accommodation this week... may or july next year is gonna happen, if you're not in vegas when i am ... very least smashing DTF for a few nights!!

Also fun fact: when i was yelping for reviews on vegas and around anaheim/ fullerton last year... i kept coming across this guy who did pretty solid reviews and seemed to have everything down pat... bookmarked him and everything at the time.
Turns out that dude turns out to be you lol. Been meaning to tell you for ages... such a small world lol. I found that coincidence pretty funny!
