I see that BSM succeeded in getting an upgrade at ARIA but haven't seen other success (or failure) stories. Anyone else tried at ARIA? I'm checking in March 16. Thanks.
Upgrade sandwich at ARIA?

It can definitely be done, but you have nothing to lose regardless. If they can't accomodate your request, the clerk will hand you your money back.Originally posted by zimrechild View PostI see that BSM succeeded in getting an upgrade at ARIA but haven't seen other success (or failure) stories. Haha at least you got the $$ back. The first time I ever went to Vegas, I gave the guy at the desk at the Palms a $50 bill and asked him if he could slip me into the G-Suite that night. He took the money, laughed, and said he would see what he could do.
Turns out **surprise, surprise** that he couldn't make it happen. He kept the $50, I think mostly because I asked such a stupid question.Vegas Trips to-date:
November 12-13, 2008 - Palms Standard
March 18-22, 2009 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
April 22-26, 2010 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
June 2-6, 2011 - Venetian Bella Suite
June 21-26, 2012 - Cosmopolitan Wraparound Terrace Suite

I came across this - pretty extensive stuff on the matter though it appears only 3 attempts at Aria (with 2 succeeding)...

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but so be it. In trying to determine my odds of a successful sandwich at ARIA (3/16 - 3/20...a busy weekend) I went onto the hotel website to ensure that other rooms were still available for normal purchase during that time (thinking, of course, that if rooms were available my odds of success would be higher). The only available room that came up on the hotel website is the one I've already reserved. Am I shit out of luck? What are the odds that the hotel has some additional (upgraded) rooms available? Please chime in if you have experience similar to this, thanks.

Not necessarily. These hotels often have a lot of cancellations. You have nothing to lose since you will get your money back if they don't have any upgrade available that is suitable to you.Originally posted by zimrechild View PostThis is going to sound like a stupid question, but so be it.
