ID for Pool Parties

Hey there,
I am coming to Vegas in June and wanted to know if you can use a photo copy of my ID (Passport) to use at the pool parties as I dont really want to be losing my passport if I leave my bag around by the pool as thats my only form of ID and then Ill be stuck in LV (Not a bad thing)!!

I doubt it very much.... I always took my drivers licence with me and that was fine and it was no real big deal if I lost it as my bank account insurance would replace it for free. That said- you wouldnt really want to lose it early in the hol as the you will have no choice but to use your passport :-)

No they will not allow you to use a photo copy. With that said I do believe there are lockers you can rent to store your stuff, but I am not 100% sure on that.

At Encore Beach Club the daybeds have complimentary safes. Always have backup ID on you though... you never know.

Agree what others of have said, photo copies are no good.

You're trips in June, you should be able to get yourself a back up id by then? It's definitely a must.

i agree. SOME of the pools have a bag check in, Rehab comes to mind, but for the most part you have to keep an eye on your own stuff, especially if you're not getting a table. i think someone suggested a while back that you check your bag with the hotel's bell desk, but then you won't be able to get back to your stuff unless you leave the pool (and that won't help as far as ID goes anyway)

Cool thanks guys, so annoying you have to carry ID around all the time in America.. Think I will have to get another form of ID for the day time to use. Do you know if the Marquee Day Club pool has lockers for bags? x

What about a driving license? I used that last time I was over, always kept my passport in the safe.

A bit of advice is to take a photocopy of your passport and leave it in your safe in case you do lose your real one.

no photo copies of IDs or pass ports... use the safe or put it in your bag and check it... you will need an ID to use for the use of a credit card!!

we do accept driving licenses too!!!

Can someone confrim if the clubs and pools will accept my Australian drivers licence?
Not that keen on getting hammered and swimming with my passport!

the pools will accept any form of government issued ID. if its something that they don't see often, just be patient as they search for all the pertinent information, like where your birth date is listed and whatnot. Aussie licenses are definitely accepted
