House/Undeground Clubs in Vegas

Hi all. I'm 27 and from England but have been to vegas 6 times now, my 7th will be at the end of march.

Whenever I've been to Vegas, I've always stayed at the MGM and stuck to the commercial clubs like studio 54 and tabu, without straying too far away but I'm really into the more underground styles of dance music like house/techno/trance (I'm a club dj over here) and am wondering if somebody can point me to the more littleknown venues which play this kind of music, if they exist in vegas of course.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I don't know about underground venues, but a lot of the major clubs play a lot of house, especially when they have certain DJs playing. (tiesto, kaskade, morrrilo etc)

Man u really need to get out of MGM. Not a bad place to stay but for clubs. Studio 54 is weak. Ok first off...DRAIS....its an afterrhours but I like to get there a tad early....3am ish....i am usually there til 8am at least. You will love it.

You probly wanna check out Rain (at the Palms) on Saturday(not friday) for Oakenfolds Perfecto. He is usually there once a month but they have top notch talent. I saw Serg Devant there was best night of my life....literally.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Ive been scouring the net for ages looking for a forum on Vegas that is still active, with members in the know. It's good to have found one.

@Dean of selection: where is DRAIS? Afrer hours is good for me, my body clock is always messed up in Vegas anyway due to the 8 hour time gap. I definitely need to get out of the MGM!

@mikey t: surrender sounds awesome, Calvin Harris is always a good gig! Have seen him at festivals over here.

I should be in Vegas from 30th march until 7th April. Gonna get out to these places for sure. Would love to see morillo and/or kaskade. Saw tiesto at privilege in Ibiza not so long ago.... 10,000 capacity club! That was an experience!

Drais is in the basement of the old Barbaray Coast-its now Bills Gamblin' Hall. Its just a phenomenal afterhours. My favorite place in the world.

As far as Rain(Palms) u can always look ahead at their schedule of talent they have lined up for Saturdays. Ive also seen Swedish House Mafia there. For example Alex Gaudino is there saturday. Hes gonna be here to in Chicago day before on Friday. im probly gonna see him.

under ground house and trance... hard shit... bangin shit.. usually for locals... no cover.. but they keep it tight.. after hours.. closes at 7 or 8am.... open weekends late night...
