  • Stag June 11-14... so many questions my brain hurts!!

Hi all, I've been reading up in here alot lately cause I'm coming down from the great white north to sin city for some stag action on June 11 - 14.

This site is an awesome resource for the planning I've been doing. (many thanks to the posts and to Mr. Colton)

    Here is the situation:
    9 guys
    Staying at MGM Grand
    Fly in Thursday eve
    Fly out Sunday eve

    So, my questions are these....

    1) We want to do the wet republic cabana thing, but I've been quoted several prices (Ranging from Friday at $1500 to Saturday for $2500), so does this seem accurate? and is Saturday really that much different?

    2) Looking at Tao for dinner and club on Friday or Saturday night. Obviously bottle service and reservations are in order here. When is a good time to set this up? 1 week in advance? 2 days? 2 weeks?

    3) Are the contact on Jack's reservations page up to date? I suppose I could just phone and find out, but has anyone had dealings with these people and is this the best way to go?

    Many thanks in advance.

Jack's contacts are rock solid, and I'd start getting in touch with the club you want to go to that night NOW. You're looking at probably a 3-4 bottle minimum with that size group, which won't be that bad honestly.

As far as the cabana, you definitely want to do it for Saturday and night Friday. Keep in mind most people fly in late on Friday night, or drive in for a lot of Cali types, so Saturday is going to be a lot more hopping than Friday will.

Thx for the advice AKBoarder. Much appreciated.

Any idea about the cost of the cabanas though? And what about the bungalow vs. cabana?... I'm not sure I understand the difference.

I know that on a holiday weekend cabanas go for around $5k, but your best bet is going to be getting in touch with the host listed for the pool party you want and dropping him/her an email.

They usually have a form letter type response that list out prices for the various bottles, types of accommodations, etc. They'll be able to tell you the differences between each type thing(cabana, bungalow, daybed, etc) and what the bottle minimum is going to be for each.

They want your business, so they are honestly super helpful, and most get their email on their blackberries or iphones or w/e so you'll get a pretty quick response.

I honestly believe that these cabana prices for a pool party are complete nonsense when in reality normal hotel pools can be just as much fun just not as crowded and a fraction of the cost. I would stay at the palms or mandaly or mirage or wynn and your pool experience will be awesome and youll be saving a crapload of dough
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

Wet Republic during the week really isn't that bad. A Cabana at Mandalay Bay's pool runs like $225/$250, IIRC, and I mean you can get a covered day bed for just a little more than that at Wet Republic.

I dunno, I might do it, but I'm really waiting on Brazen to get back from her trip so I can find out what the Monday scene there is like.

I agree, and most of the hotel pools are a flat charge, where as at the pool party, its a F&B min. Harrahs was $200 weekdays, and $250 weekends + F&B.

I think weekdays, wet republic is $150min F&B for lounge table and chairs.

I can agree with this. It's easier to get in on a Friday than a Saturday because of the CA/AZ crews that drive in.
