Hotel/Resort Management

I'm probably going to have to do my own digging, but for curiosity sakes, I just wondered if anyone knew who does the management of the hotel/resort properties on the Strip? That's my industry (facilities management/property management/resort mgmt) and I just wanted to know so I could read up on it.

Most of the properties are owned by either Harrahs or MGM-Mirage, with a few being owned by Las Vegas Sands(Venetian, Palazzo) and of course Steve Wynn(Wynn, Encore) or other independents(Planet Hollywood, etc)

Yeah, but I imagine they contract the management out to larger companies, especially for the leasing of the stores in the hotels, maid service, landscaping/etc, HVAC..

If I'm not mistaken, I used to work at a casino out here, they have staff to do most of that stuff at least for maid service, hotels, landscapes/etc, but for the stores I think they just lease stuff out themselves and they probly have staff for that as well.

Yeah, I was googling it and MGM Mirage I think has their own in-house service and runs things.

Why you thinking about hittin them up to open up shop?

Just curious. There are some large firms like Colliers that do things in both Canada/US and it would neat for me to learn and see how they manage such a huge site.
