1/2 limit holdem on the strip?

Any poker rooms on the strip spread 1/2 limit holdem during the day on Fridays and/or Saturdays? I would head to downtown if necessary but I'd prefer to stay on the strip if possible.

Are you sure you don't mean 2/4 ($1 small blind, $2 big blind, $4 bet on turn/river)?

In terms of blind structure, 1/2 no limit is the same thing as 2/4 limit ($1 small blind, $2 big blind). In x/y in no limit, x stands for the small blind and y stands for the big blind. In limit, x stands for the bet size on pre-flop/flop and y stands for the bet size on the turn/river.

I don't know what they had for limit hold 'em but I played some no limit at Imperial Palace in January because I was told it was a good place to start for beginners. Not the classiest joint by any means but I found the competition rather easy and won a couple hundred in pretty short order. I had some luck of the cards including a straight flush but the players were generally pretty loose.

You won't find 1/2 Limit anywhere if you want low stakes try Bill's .50/$1 NL game. If you want low stakes limit games try Flamingo, Mirage, Excalibur, Imperial Palace or Ballys. I wouldn't worry about the competition since it will typically be a 2/4 or 3/6 Limit game. Oh that sidewalk table at O'Sheas is something to behold but just seeing the sights at O'Sheas while sitting there was worth the price.

That game at O'Sheas is one of the easiest games in the country - after 3:00 AM.

The game at O Sheas is the first place I go when I arrive in Vegas. Thats where I build up my bankroll at. The players are newbies and there drunk as hell too. The game at Bills the .50 cent 1 dollar no limit is my fav to play beer poker. I buy in for 60 bucks and play 2 hours getting shit faced with the free drinks.
