Venetian or Palazzo

First of all, I wanted to show some love to the board with some discounted hotel rates that I got in the mail:

Now my question is which is better? I've been looking at the Bella Suites because they have 3 beds and would work well for my MDW plans. Does one have more perqs than the other (club/pool admission, other amenities)? Or do I have to grease my way to the top?

In my experience with Venetian and Palazzo, I always book the cheapest luxury non view suite that comes with 1 King and sandwich my way to a bella view 99% of the time.

1 other time, me and my buddies sandwiched ourselves to the Palazzo Hospitality Suite


Palazzo is newer but overall both are about the same. Cant go wrong with either

both are great! my favorite hotel ive stayed at both and they were both the same rooms. We got a strip view with the upgrade .. it was a nice view

Venetian / Palazzo has one of the highest success rates for the Sandwich working. I use $50 and that usually gets us moved from the cruddy Venezia tower at Venetian to a Strip View and High Floor at Palazzo.

thanks for the promo i just changed my hotel from an mgm celebrity suite to luxury suite at the venetian and am only paying $77 more.........nice i was going to try the sandwich at the mgm hopefully a 20 or $50 will get us a nice view at the venetian. usually i do $20 do you guys suggest the $50 there at the venetian. or is it simply they are going to do it if they can either way? and if they can't it doesn't matter what you give them?

Those rates are AWESOME!!! Memorial Day weekend is Fri $169/Sat $169/Sun $129 for the VENETIAN!! Tao and Tao Beach right downstairs....Damn! I would book that now if I wasn't going to MayOD!

Pallazo is a favorite hotel of mine, you can easily get three to four people in there and not feel crowded! Two flat screens and a third in the bathroom....sweet!

Never had an issue. One time made multiple trips between car and elevator bringing cooler, water, snacks, bags of alcohol, multiple 30 packs of beer, etc. and there was a security guard checking keycards by the elevator each time.

I was thinking about booking those three nights just as "insurance" in case my AOD plans in May fall through...
But I'll be San Diego the following weekend for the marathon so probably not...but it is a GREAT rate for such a nice hotel.

Yeah I think last time me and my buddies went, we did $40 or $50 and got moved from a Bella at venetian to a bella strip view at Palazzo at a high floor.

anyone have any experiences with tipping $50+ and what they got upgraded to?
