You seem to be the man w/ the 911 on here, so I hope you can help. BTW, thanks for some of the answers you already provided.

What have you seen or heard of Industry Night at The Crown @ The Rio on Sunday Nights? It is advertised as "Industry Night and Roller Boogie". Is it a 70's/90's theme? I assume this place does offer table service, right? I know it is Hip Hop on Saturday Nights (usually) but also read that there are Rock Nights too.

Still struggling to find the place we want to hit. Not many we (couple in low 40's) haven't tried and looking for something new if possible, Crown would be new. Not into the electro house music they play at the big clubs (prefer Top 40 or "oldies" -- 80's / 90's stuff) and not wanting a 21 year old crowd.

Blush is ideal, but can only hit it so many times -- no wanting an open casino bar like Rouge/Centrifuge etc..

Not afraid to drop the right about of Benjamin's for the spot in the right place on a Thurs/Fri/Sat or Sun night.

If you aren't that familiar with Crown, do you have a contact for me who I can e-mail?

    Other suggestions?

I'm all ears (ehhh, eyes I guess).

Just found out that the Sunday night thing at The Crown is no more, so you can disregard that question, but still looking for suggestions.

      Thanks in advance.

What about Rok? Sounds good on paper (smaller, Rock Music "I think")....but not if we are the only people in the place.

      Library in Marquee?

I have been looking for people's opinions of RoK as well. I'm staying at NYNY so it would be nice to not have to leave the hotel!!!!

Some opinions were sent to me via back channel -- not good. Hearing the place is dead. Free drink coupons and entry is handed at NYNY just to get people in there.....

May want to stop in for a drink, but not a whole night.

it's hit and miss, i've heard people had a great time there. I personally had a good time there on a sat night when I went and there was actually a long line to get in, but I've also heard from others who've been that it's been dead.

It's a smaller venue, long bar on one side facing rectangular section/dancefloor with some tables around it.

I stopped in a ROK in late 2010. I have to say, it's pretty close to a standard bar back home. Like spok said, they were handing out passes to anyone who was strolling by. The crowd inside the club was... so-so. We had a good time because of the group we brought with us. I probably wouldn't go back, even to preparty.

They also short poured my friends drink, right in front of me. Luckily, mine was just fine.

I was there in Feb 2010 and it was a last resort (not got anything pre-planned) and we grabbed the last table to jump the queue. Whilst we had a great night it was because it was our last night in Vegas and all just having fun. We didn't even leave the raised table area.

I won't be hurrying back, but it can be a cheap place for BS so who knows.

Another lesson learnt from the school of MikeyT. If I'm honest I'm glad we did as we had a blast, but we could have been anywhere.
