im 31 living in the SF bay area
I am currently working for stanford university.
My first trip out to vegas was when i was 19 with my best friend. It was a summer road trip back in 1997. I drove my 1967 mustang from the bay area to vegas which got 14 miles to the gallon! LOL we filled it up 6 times each way. It was a great memory driving through the mojave desert/tehachipy mountains.
We stayed at the MGM grand, keep in mind this is when vegas started having its face lift and resurrected itself as a global entertainment destination. We had a awesome time and vegas was the first place we ever got drunk, we NEVER got carded! We only gambled and got free drinks, we had no clue about nightlife at that time.
My friends parents actually surprised flew in to vegas to check on us, luckily at the time we were somewhat sober to play it off. His dad is a true vegas vet who actually has had legendary craps rolls at several vegas casinos and is well treated. This is where I learned the art of the grease, haha. When lance burton first came to vegas before the monte carlo was even built he was doing little pre shows at the riviera. His parents took us, we walked in, had shitty seats, greased the host with a handshake , we then were walked to the best booth in the house.
I would say I have been there at least 30 times since and have learned so much through the vegas experience. Vegas always has a surprise for me everytime I go, the fun part is never knowing what its going to be
.
anyway im rambling but I am glad I came accross this site and
fortunate I am surrounded by people on this forum that share one of the most important passions in my life, PARTYING IN FUCKING VEGAS BABY.
I do hope the vegas trips continue for me and each time it would be great to share a little bit of that trip with the forum members here.
OK, you can wipe the tear away now
I can get sentimental.
lol
