  • 3-4 women, early June, best deal on mid-range on strip hotel?

    Hey folks,

3-4 women are heading to Vegas in early June for a week (probably Monday to Monday).

We're good with something adequate -- don't need super nice. These are listed on JC's website as fitting that description.

    • New York, New York – 1.800.693.6763
    • Planet Hollywood - 1.877.333.9474
    • Bally’s - 1.800.644.0777
    • Paris – 1.888.266.5687
    • Flamingo – 1.800.732.2111
    • Harrahs – 1.800.427.7247
    • Mirage – 1.800.627.6667
    • Luxor – 1.800.288.1000
    • Treasure Island – 1.800.944.7444
    • Rio – 1.888.746.7482
    • Monte Carlo – 1.800.311.8999

    Any suggestions/tips/things to look for/avoid?

    Best pool? Best perks?

monte carlo is good enough. location is pretty good, room is ok, price is pretty good. not sure about the pool though, i stayed there over nye. my wife stayed there a few years back and it was good for that too. my fav on the list would be planet hollywood. no resort fees!! any caesars property will not have them, so caesars, harrahs, etc wont have them either. the casino is @monte carlo is nice, PHo has a younger demographic which lends to a more happening atmosphere.

the free trams are good if you are near them but the monte carlo to bellagio tram arrives at the back of the bellagio and there is a lot of walking to get to the casino, and even more to the fountains. you are better off taking the walk up the strip.

the stratosphere is not that cool and unless you have an undying urge to go there, dont. the strip ends at the wynn/encore as far as im concerned. (unless youre looking for 1$ black jack)

Stayed at the Planet Hollywood in January-7 women-loved it! the resort rooms have two vanities/sinks in the bathroom and they're good sized (enough room for all girls to get ready). Can't speak to the pool-it was January! Fun vibe-great bloody mary's at the heart bar in the casino.....
I feel sorry for people who don't drink, when they get up in the morning, that's best they're gonna feel all day!

I think the best 2 there that's decent a good for the price is the Flamingo and Monte Carlo.

Flamingo has the better location and better pool, but the rooms are a little older. If you can afford it, or if the clerks will accept the $20 trick, the Go Rooms are signicant upgrades and are highly recommended.

Monte Carlo's pool is decent and has a lazy river. There is a nightly resort fee as well so just keep that in mind. The standard rooms are nicer and cleaner, and the casino is a little more intimate.

I'd personally choose Flamingo over MC but it's just my preference. I like to go to Bill's next door for some cheap gambling and Karoake.

              A couple more tips:

For Hotel Discounts and Promo Codes: http://www.mycheapvegas.com

              For Shows: http://www.travelzoo.com

Those 2 sites seem to be the best and cheapest. Hope you guys have a great trip.

My two choices would be Paris and PH...for the location.

Paris got a much better pool than PH.

PH has a much better casino.

                My choice is Paris.

I would also consider Mirage. Excellent location, one of the best regular pools in Vegas, Bare, good restaurants, recently updated rooms, reasonably priced, etc...

We decided on Flamingo -- for the price, and a place to lay our heads, it seems like a great deal.

Thanks for all the advice. We'll try the sandwich trick, too...see if we can get upgraded to a GO! room...

I'm learning SO much here! Thanks for all the help!
