  • First time bottle service......very confused

Ok, so I got a hold of JRoc. Very cool guy.

I am getting a table at Rain, with at least one bottle, as it's just two of us, 2 bottles if the other 2 people show.

He gave me a price, he added some for a tip for the waitress.

Ok, what do I tip JRoc? Do I tip more everytime we pour a drink from our bottle? What about security? Bouncers?

Now, I was a bartender for a lot of years. I am a very generous tipper, but I only tip people who actually did some work.

Case in point, I order a pizza, drive to get it, the girl taking my money, hands me my pizza, has a tip jar. No way I tip her.

I go to a diner at 4 am, order a 5.00 breakfast special, waitress refills my coffee, checks on me, makes sure my food is correct, I am giving her 10, keep the change.

I see people here tip the girl who walks them to a table. I could see flipping her a 10, or 20, but what real service did she provide?

The barback/busser who clears those dirty glasses so we can keep drinking? He is getting a 20, at least.

What about JRoc? How does he make money? Do i flip him money for taking my call, and booking me? I would think so, but how much?

RAIN is 425 a bottle. I am thinking a bottle, plus some beers, more if the other 2 show up.

It depends on how far the host went to show you a good time.

If its someone who booked you the table and they are walking you in (like any of the solid JC contacts) then at least $100. Minimum.

I have heard guys at Ghostbar (hosts) go off about a guy who "tipped them a $20"

I give $100 for every bottle.

I hand nothing less than $20's for our server. The last girl who served us was a rockstar (went above and beyond) I probably tipped her 7 times over the course of the night.

Don't neglect the runners or security either. Nothing crazy but having some cash for the security and the runner a couple times goes a LONG way.

You would be surprised how well you are treated when you tip well and extend people a modicum of respect.

As far as you host for the night, the Benjamin per bottle method is a safe bet.

Of course, you can make other arrangments with a host. Some are more open to a lesser bottle minimum if you tip more.

Make such deals with care and only test it on guys who are PROVEN JC Contacts

Yeah $100 a bottle to the host is fair if they do their job well and don't have you wait in line or give you a shitty table.

A couple $20's to security to help watch over the group and maybe bring you girls if you are afraid to talk to women lol.

A good tip to your runner and who knows a couple free waters may appear at your clutter free area.

I hate server girls they remind me of predatory strippers so I usually tell them straight up that they don't have to stick around in a polite way. That way I can pour my own drinks and she can go focus on another table. She still gets her built in gratuity and doesn't feel stiffed that I didn't give her extra because she didn't have to work for it.

I am going through JRoc. Very nice guy.

I know that one bottle should be good. I want beers also. Love beer.

You pay for the bottles up front, and tip the host right then and there right?

During the night, if we run out, we can order more bottles right? Wouldn't that tip go to the waitress?

It's possible you won't even meet jroc. He's heavily involved in the marketing side of things. I consider him the face of Palms nightlife, as I always see him MCing special events, but I could be wrong. Just tip whoever greets you whatever you deem appropriate.

the host you only meet at the very beginning to walk you in. They may come around during the night to see how things are going, but you tip them up front.

As for server tip, it's usually automatically included and you sign for it up front depending on how much you agreed to minimumly purchase. If you order more throughout the night, they'll add on to the bill + tip each time.

Increments of benjamins to the host upfront to make sure you get a good piece of real estate at the club and increments of 20s to the dude that cleans up your tables. I'd even up the tip beyond 20 to the security guard if your objective is to get him to bring girls to the table. To secure a good location make sure you tell the host beforehand when you're booking your table that you want a good location and tell him you'll "take care of him" at the door on the night itself. As for the hot server chick...it usually depends on how drunk I am...LOL...

Which is good. I used to live on tips, I give em where they are needed.
