Checking in to PH towers

Any tips into getting some comp upgrades?
besides the good ol sandwich tip.

It doesn't hurt to say you're on your anniversary or something like that...even when its not lol.

You could probably make up just about any story you want. Anniversary, 21st birthday, I just bought the hotel etc...

well saying it's a birthday when it's not may not work so well if the person behind the counter isn't dumb and pays attention to your ID

When I stayed; I booked the regular 1 king studio. I was able to upgrade to a larger studio on the upper floor. It was a good deal and staying on the upper floor makes a huge difference with the floor to ceiling windows.

They couldn't however upgrade me to the 1 bedroom tho. The reason was it had to be similar, or something like that. I was told had I booked the regular 1 bedroom, I could be upgraded to the upper floor.

I actually booked a studio room through a Southwest Vacations deal for next Thursday through Saturday - hoping to get upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite as it is actually my birthday on Thursday. The 1 bedroom suite looks sick

The one bedrooms at PH towers are pretty sweet. The studios are nice too but IMO I'll be staying in a one bedroom next time

P.s the rooms are the exact same size all the way up the tower. Studio on bottom floor is the same size as the top floor unit. The only different sized suite is the penthouse two bedroom, which is slightly larger than a normal two bedroom. I'm not really a big fan of the penthouse rooms though as they are at the extreme end of the hallway, and that's a long walk after a few drinks
