  • Best places to find out performers as soon as they're announced?

To: Hardcore Vegas vets and locals...

I'm looking for suggestions on the best websites/blogs/forums/sources (in addition to this great 1 of course! ) that I can check up on that will announce what performers, DJ's, hosts, special events, etc. are scheduled to appear. For example, I'll be in Vegas for MDW, LDW and Halloween this year and I wanna know as soon as I can when acts get booked so I can buy tickets online or make arrangements right away. Which sources work best for you? I've got places like XS, TAO and the Angel Mgmt Group clubs on Facebook but I was wondering if there was anything else out there. Hoping to hear all-in-one sources, instead of having to check every major club's website :P

Any help would be much appreciated!
    Nothing interesting to add here...

I think you might be stuck checking each venue's website/twitter/facebook. You may find a site that will list some upcoming events, but I doubt they will get them all and you might miss something.

I wouldn't worry about checking too far out in advance though. Just wait until about 1.5 to 2 weeks prior to the trip and see what's going on. That's plenty of time in advance to book, and sometimes things won't get advertised until 1-2 weeks prior.

Wantickets.com lists special events for several different clubs, esp. when there is a bigger DJ or event. Unless someone else knows otherwise, I think it's just e-mail lists for the various club groups, Facebook pages, and websites. Las Vegas Weekly has a club grid that lists all the clubs and any events that are going on, but that doesn't get updated until Wednesday or Thursday of every week. For MDW, I think the Palms has already started listing some of their events, but that's the only one I've seen so far.

wanttickets.com is awesome. They do list pretty much all the events and i did have great customer service experience with them, I purchased a tickets for NYE weekend and later found out that venue was close that day so i emailed them and within 15 minutes they replied back and refund the whole amount i spent on the tickets.

And checking the each venue's website/facebook is a good way to go too.
