  • guy trip mid May, suite for 8?

    Hi guys,
Just found this message board todays and it's been the most productive six hours I've spent at work in a long time!

Anyway, I've been tasked with finding a place to stay for an upcoming guy trip May 12 thru 15 (thu-Sun). This is a somewhat-annual trip of college buddies from around the country. This year we'll have 8 guys, all in the late 30s (most still act like half thier age, of course).

In the past we've stayed at Luxor, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Hard Rock, maybe a few others. We've always had a handful of traditional rooms with 2 beds, two guys to a room. This year I'm considering a suite for everyone, which is how I came to find the JC message boards.

Cutting to the chase - The PH Towers are an early frontrunner. Would the 2 BR suites sleep 8 guys? Assuming two per king bed and one or two on the sleeper sofa, that would still leave 2-3 guys on the floor. Does anyone know if they'd provide cots? Maybe we could just sleep in shifts...

Also, there's been mention of 30% off deals but they only appear to go through March 1 at this point. What's the likelihood of another deal like that popping up for our weekend in May?

Any other suggestions for accommodations for 8? I should mention our trip goals: a fair share of gambling, clubs (night & strip), and poolside recovery in the day.

Sorry for the long winded first post. It's late and I'm pretty pumped about this trip and can't wait to get it all set up!

Not sure what your budget is, but the Sky Villas at Aria are awesome. They range from 2000-7000 Sq ft.

Why dont you try the Wyndham Grand Desert They have a 3 bedroom suite that I think is hands down the best bang for you buck in Vegas. It has 5 beds and a sofa sleeper plus a kitchen and 2 bathrooms with a washer/dryer set. Its close to the Strip and the Hard Rock and will save you tons of money. I don't know about you but If I'm going to be possibly sleeping on the floor of a room filled with 8 dudes It better be cheap lol.

I looked into this before for some friends, and honestly, unless you're willing to drop some serious money you'd be better off getting 2 or 4 Queen rooms next to each other, depending if you really want to share beds or not.

A friend of mine that im planning a trip with said PH towers gave him a rate of approx 2200 for 4 nights 2 BR king suite (sleeper sofa) with a connecting 2 queen room.

That still leaves 3 in your party on the floor.

Had my bachelor party suite at the Mirage. I did a lot of research, and it was tough to find a good one for a big group. A lot of the hotels have huge suites, but it's usually just 2 kings beds (in 2 separate bedrooms) and a couch. Most of the square footage is giant bathrooms and huge living area which doesn't help with a big group.

We ended up at the Mirage which had the best setup. Their regular suite was a big bedroom with a king bed, huge living area, bar area, etc. You could then combine it with a regular 2-queen room that was next door, and linked via doors between the rooms. If you booked them both, they'd just open up the doors and you had 3 beds plus a couch that easily slept 8-10 people.
