Need Nightclub Help/advice

Hey everyone,

My friends and I plan on spending a weekend in mid-June in Vegas. Our group of 10 or so is mostly guys. None of us are really familiar with vegas nightlife. Are there any good nightclubs/lounges that aren't CRAZY hard to get into (especially for guys) and somewhat affordable? We’d preferably go to clubs/lounges where we don’t have to pay cover, or at least pay a minimal amount (we are poor college kids!). Is it even possible for guys to get into one of the nicer clubs without paying for cover?

Also, one last question...I see all these cheap $1 "VIP" passes for sale on ebay for particular clubs (i.e. Tryst, Pure, Jet, etc). Will these actually help us get into any of these clubs without having to pay cover? Thanks for all your help!

Most of those passes have restrictions. The passes will take care of your cover or half-off, but only on certain days. Like Body English passes take care of your cover on Fridays. Pure passes take care of your cover on Tuedays, ect., ect. They hardly ever get you around the line.

As far as a good nightclub being affordable, it depends what you call good. You could go to Cherry on Fri ($100 bottles), Rum Jungle, Mix, Christian Augier, or a number of other places that would be cheaper. Just remember, if the club is easy to get into, AND has cheap drinks, its probably not what most people would call good.

If you do buy passes, dont buy them for the strip club. You can get a house limo, and free cover without the passes. Just call the strip club, and request it.

tabu is a hidden gem as well, pretty easy to get into. small place but good crowd. there are a million ways to get around paying a cover just need to be clever

yeah....tabu is cool. theres usually guys handing passes out for tabu, in front of the club, during the day.

best bet would be to split into groups of 3-4 and meet women to walk in with.....easier said than done obviously.

short of that, seek out bars/clubs with little to no cover>
diablos
carnival court
fremont street experience
rumjungle
dixie's dam bar

also, don't be afraid to split up and go cougar hunting at some of the casino lounges

honestly, if a $30 cover is keeping you from going into a club, its probably not the right club for you.

it all depends you can usually get these passes for free at the hotel where theyre located, and it really depends on who you show it to whether it is accepted or not...unfortunately

I was there in 07 with my sister, friend, and SO and not only did we have to wait because we had 1 guy with us (I was also on the list through Napkin Nights, didn't work) they didn't take the passes cause it was Brody Jenner's bday. I'm like, who the hell is that guy? I mean, that's a celebrity restriction?!? (I learned then he was from the godawful hills, no offense to anyone who likes it here!)

Anyway, it was a bad night overall b/c of the waiting, outrageous cover, and wall to wall people. I've learned since to only go with girls and get in on a real list through a real person and we've never had trouble since or paid anything.

I was also a club newbie in vegas, as were the people I was with, so we didn't know about greasing the doormen and stuff...So, I think if you can get in right away and there's no celebrity party that night, then you should be fine.

Sweet. Travis was good for me, because I ask a lot of redundant questions to make sure everything is good, and we was totally cool in answering. I even emailed him yesterday and he remembered me and I feel pretty secure in my plans!
