  • Cabanas at MGM

Anyone know what the price is to hire one? Myself and two adult males will be in Las Vegas this year from June the 1st till June the 8th and we are thinking of hiring a cabana for the day in midweek? The last time i was in Las Vegas was in 2006 and i stayed at the Luxor and whilst there we rented out a cabana and i thought it was brilliant that's why i am thinking of hiring one at the MGM.

But saying that those prices are around the WR pool- although I'm sure they will be cheaper around the main pool during the week

Yeah, are you talking about the MGM main pool, or Wet Republic? I looked into a cabana at the main pool about a year and a half ago and it was something like $250 on the weekend, definitely cheaper on the weekdays. This is only for the real estate, though. It doesn't include your drinks/food (I think it comes with a fruit plate or something).

The Wet Republic cabanas are going to be A LOT more, but the party is 100x better. Here's the link to their 2010 pricing. I highly doubt it will be the same for 2011, but you can at least get an idea of what you're dealing with. This came out in March of last year, so the new pricing should be out in a little over a month.

Not sure if the link is still valid, my work computer won't let me access it. The pricing is a food and beverage minimum, and includes cover to get in.

Thanks for the link, it works fine! I was actually talking about both, MGM and WET REPUBLIC, had a feeling they would be dearer for WET REPUBLIC, oh well i'll have to try and win some money either before i leave for LV or win some whilst i'm there, i'm not holding my breath though.

We rented a regular cabana last MDW and called the hotel directly and asked for the pool to get the information. They quoted us $250 but when I called before we left to confirm, we were told that the guy didn't realize it was a holiday weekend and it would be $100 more so it would be $350 (which was no big deal, being that there was 8 of us). The cabana was HUGE and we requested one by the lazy river next to Wet Republic so we could still hear the live DJ over there and it worked out great for us! Another good location is the Adult Only pool there but I forgot the name of it.

There is a difference between the Cabanas at the regular MGM pool. Some are actually "cabanas" with TV's and nicer ameneties. There are also ghetto, knock-off cabanas that look like green army tents. These suck and are not worth the money. They are located on one of the side pools, and they don't have a TV. Basically, all they have is a couch and two chairs. If you want a cabana at the regular pool, make sure you get the real-deal. I have stayed at MGM 6 times and I didn't realize it until the last time when I let my friend book a cabana. Big mistake. We had cabana envy all day.

They are called a slightly different name, rather than "cabana". Just make sure you request one with a TV, near the lazy river and you should get what you need.
