  • Newbie, need help/info please!

First post so hope this is correct, here's a brief itinerary of our up and coming trip, myself and two mates (late twenties, mid thirties) will be in LV from Wednesday June 1st till Wednesday June the 8th, we are staying at the MGM and we're looking to hit the pool parties and the clubs (hopefully every night) we like to boogie but if i'm being honest don't think i could last like i used to, so if anyone could answer the following questions below it would be greatly appreciated, i'll try and break down my question categories....

    MGM....

    1. Wet republic, what day/s is it on and it is free entry if your staying at the MGM?

    2. Does anyone know (roughly) the price to rent a cabana or a day bed?

    3. Is Studio 54 worth a visit or is it a cheesy club? I know there are more 'super clubs' (or pretty bars as i call them) to go to but some of the clientele know that they are good looking and fancy themselves,

    RIO HOTEL.

    1. Bikini beach, is it any good and what day/s is best to go? My friend who i'm travelling with has either heard or seen that if you pay to get into Bikini Beach you free admission into VooDoo Lounge on the same night, is this right?

    2. Which leads me to my next question, Is VooDoo lounge worth a visit or any other lounges/bars?

Any other information not related to the questions above would also be greatly appreciated as i've got a head full of other questions.

      A week sounds pretty intense...
I've been to Voodoo lounge quite a few times. It's pretty nice. It's got a fantastic view of the strip. I think it's better than Moon and Ghostbar simply because there's so much outdoors real estate. The crowd's a little bit older and not as crazy as what you would find at an XS, though. Definitely worth going up there to check out, but I wouldn't recommended going there to party unless you're looking for more of a lounge-type experience.

Just out of curiousity, are you staying the entire trip at MGM? Is there a specific reason you expect to be going to the Rio?

Last year, Wet was open Mon-Sun. I assume it will be the same this year. I've never stayed at MGM, so I'm not sure if it's free for guests. Probably not for guys, probably yes for girls, but that's just a guess.

Here's a link to 2010 pricing to give you ballpark cabana numbers:

        http://www.angelpromo.com/wet2010/

If there's only three of you, a cabana may be more than you need. A daybed would probably suffice.

Studio 54 is not a good option. While you certainly don't have to go to an XS or Marquee to have a great night in Vegas, there are many, many better options than Studio 54.

I have no answers to your other questions. Good luck.

Voodoo lounge is worth a visit for the view. Studio 54 blows though dont waste your time.

Hey, thanks for the great link, on the Wet Republic price webpage it says (F&B MIN) what does that stand for and what does it mean? By the way, are some days busier than others? I know that weekends will be busy but what about certain days through the week?

Food and beverage minimum (For example, a daybed has a $1000 food and beverage minimum, meaning that is how much money you have to spend on food and drinks and will be charged to your card, regardless if you go under spending $1000).

The secret to going non stop in Vegas for a week is a lot of crack... I find it helps with no sleep beyond 24 hours. Some may suggest alternatives like redbull or the unlimited supply of energy pills but there is no substitute for the real thing.
