I have found every time I have gone to the US, I have been treated so well and the people were fantastic. As far as women go, I was seeing a girl for ages from Colorado, maybe that is where the love of the accent comes from

Thanks for the well wishes, temperature hit 106 degrees in Sydney yesterday, so we drank beer, played cricket and went to the beach LOL
March 2011 was easily the best time of my life! Currently saving for MDW 2012 - who's coming with!?!?!?

I mean, don't get me wrong, there are some real assholes (can I say that here?) in America as well...Aholes are like stray cats, you will find them anywhere.

I grew up in hawaii, totally laid back life style. Then moved to California and its slightly less laid back, but still pretty chill.

100% of Aussies I've met from this website are top notch folk in my book. I have yet to meet anyone with a bias against Aussies (that weren't Kiwis anyway).

Shit, last August I found myself speaking in an Australian accent I was hanging out with them so much! It was scary & awesome!

Haha good to hear! How did your accent hold up?

When I went to Colorado in June I had the best time hanging at the clubs, but it was kind of strange. Basically the clubs there open at 10:00pm and close around 2:00pm. So you'd pregame around 8-9 and then head in.

I wasen't really used to it, I'm used to going around a mates place for a BBQ, having some drinks around 6:00pm and hitting the pubs around 8:00pm, followed by the club a bit later and usually out till about 6-7am the next morning.

So we'd arrive at the club and I would get really worried and Im normally an inpatient guy by nature, so I'd order something ridiculous like 600 drinks to keep me occupied and I'd drink them so fast. 1 hour later I would be wasted. Dumb strategy really, I thought it would work for me lol.
