Going to Vegas when Manny Pacquiao fights Shane Mosley this was not my intention just turned out that way after i booked. Couple of questions.

    1. Think it is worth going, good night out etc? i like boxing but not mad about it.

    2. Is a event like this a big deal ie does it have a massive effect on the night-life increased prices, very busy, wrong crowd? 20,000 extra people would certainly have a impact where iam from. Well i guess its more twice that after a football match (lol soccer).

    To answer your questions:

    1. Yes - go! Even if you are not crazy about boxing it's still a great atmosphere and especially for a megafight. Plenty of people will be out and about and there will just be a good vibe about the place

    2. I've never been during fight time but I assume it would. Plenty of people would be flying in to watch and wherever the fight is held ie. MGM, Mandalay would be packed to the rafters.

Wouldn't be worried about the crowds, they are crazy (good crazy) in the UK, especially in Liverpool, I went to anfield to watch L'Pool V Fulham in 2007 - awesome!

Lastly - Manny is fighting Mosely? When? First i've heard of it.
March 2011 was easily the best time of my life! Currently saving for MDW 2012 - who's coming with!?!?!?

      May 7 @ MGM Grand.

I was at the Mayweather/Mosley fight last May and had a blast. Saw tons of celebs/athletes that weekend.

As for prices increasing, I remember hosts at the pool parties telling me the prices would be up a little because of it being fight weekend, but I don't remember the hosts at the nightclubs mentioning anything about it.

Was in town during Margarito and Pacquiao fight last year or so and the strip was crazy packed but it was still good times. Yes the rates were a lil bit more but not that much. Overall it was a fun experience.

I was in town when Pacquiao fought Cotto in November 2009 and it was crazy packed. Was also in town last May for the Mayweather/Mosley fight but it wasn't as packed as the Pacquiao fight. Both those times I attended a closed circuit event. A lot of Filipinos from the Sf Bay Area come out for Pacman.

prices in general don't go up at the clubs, but some of the premium spots will go up, because there are an abundance of celebs and high net worth people in town. since there are more celebs and rich people in town, who all want to be at the best spot in the clubs, the minimums for those particular spots go up, but for a normal 1 or 2 bottle spot, you wont see a difference. if you want a spot sitting next to mayweather or some other celebrity that's out partying after the fights, then you're going to pay quite a bit more than on a normal night
