I am planning a Bachelor party for my brother. I have been to Vegas about 7 times in the past 3 years so I have a good grasp on what to expect.

We usually stay at the Hard Rock or PALMS, but my group wants to try something different.

Just wondering how Planet Hollywood's pool is. We are a group of 25-33 year old guys. Looking for a good young crowd and mostly Hip Hop and Top 40 music.

Also, any word on how the Cosmo pool will be?

I know it's early, but just trying to get a feel for some things.

    Thank you

Planet Hollywood's pool is solid for a "regular pool" but there's no guarantee it's going to be a party scene like you would get at Wet Republic, Ditch Fridays at the Palms, etc... Wet has a lot of house DJ's, so I would check on that before making a reservation there since you said you prefer hip hop/top 40.

Generally, you want to stick with the adults only spots, not the pools that are open to the public like Planet Hollywood is.

The early returns on Marquee's pool have been great, but nobody seems to know pricing, etc... yet since it won't open until spring.

Encore Beach is currently the best pool facility in Vegas and it's huge. That can be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for.

I'm a big fan of Bare at the Mirage, but it's smaller and not for everyone. Liquid at Aria is another consideration. I've never been, but some like Tao Beach as well.

Yah my man PH pool probably isn't what you are looking for if you want the party atmosphere.

I've stayed at PH several times in the last year and although the property overall is good, the pool is disappointing. Especially considering the younger, funner crowd in the casino. Think of it as a good "standard" pool, meaning it wont be too crazy..no amazing music, just boring remixes of Top 40 stuff. I am not a HUGE techno/house fan, but I really liked Tao Beach...the vibe and the DJs there. Only downside to it is it's pretty small in size. If you didn't wanna give there a try, I'm sure the other suggestions of the bigger "megapools" that people are recommending would be the way to go.
          Nothing interesting to add here...
