  • Something different needed - Where to go for a dirty random night?

    Hey,

So thanks to you all the nights of my Vegas trip are gradually taking shape and I'll be all over XS, Rain, BE, Rehab etc (and can't wait!!)

But, to mix things up a bit, my buddy and I want to go on a random Vegas night for our 'night off' - if there is such a thing..

So, for ONE night only - we don't want to have to worry about going out in t-shirts (still looking good, obviously), table service, hosts, greasing doormen, 3 hour lines, blah blah.

We just want somewhere fun and crazy, on the strip or off it, and this will probably be on the Friday or Saturday night.

Any ideas on venues? All help appreciated.

    Cheers

PS - I fully expect that I might be told I'm talking crazy and i'd be better just dropping another $500 in Tryst or something..

PPS - Yes, I do see the irony in asking for help in planning my 'random' night, it must be an English thing..

just start slummin it at the carnival court bar, continue on to the Barbary coast and o'sheas, say hi to the little leprechaun for me. No dress code no worries! As you walk down the strip towards the MGM grand don't forget to have your picture taken with our little titty ticket vendors and swing in to one of the janky gift shops where you have a great selection of blinky light keychains, las vegas coffee mugs and 5 for $25 vegas tshirts this is where you buy gifts for the mates at home. While your at it buy the most ridiculous flashy vegas t shirt you can wear, hell with it pick a hat up to. Continue down the strip with your 3' slushy yard drink toasted to every friendly face you see ending up at coyote ugly located inside new York new York. Get doused with beer throw dollars (make it rain) on the bar top then proceed to walk over to the 9 fine Irishmen bar (also inside new York new York) as you walk in you scream "England runs this bitch!" then maybe say you were just kidding? Elbow up to the bar and grab a guiness......yea that should do .

since you might be in nyny hit up the piano bar its a cool spot to kill a night OR start at mandalay and try top have a drink in every hotel on the strip, make a little game of it and see how far you can make it!!

****disclaimer: please drink responsibly, this is not condoned or recommended for people that are not experienced drinkers or have health issues and certainly not for the faint of heart****

Boys, this stuff is gold, thanks a million! Although my trip doesn't start until 3 months tomorrow (not that i'm counting), i'll make sure I get a detailed report up just as soon as my hands and eyes start working again.

I've heard that some bars on Fremont Street might also be worth a shout?

I was going to say O'sheas. It is my early evening hang out. Hell I played Black Jack there for 16 hours one day/night and on another visit played craps for 10 hours. Both times I was toasted via the comp drinks. If you don't want to play, they have cheap food and booze.

We can never hang out I also have spent double digit hours at a $5 single deck blackjack table in the front of O'sheas (the tattoo parlor table).

That is actually one of my favorite places on the strip to kind of relax. More of a laid back but still Vegas atmosphere and a cheap time!

Yep. We were still grandfathered in when the table was $25 minimum. Everyone kept asking why we didn't have to do the minimum, and the dealer would have to keep telling them. It was well worth the amount of booze we drank alone.

It is such a kick back and party atmosphere. Even if it isn't party atmosphere, we kick the party in full gear with just how much fun and friendliness we bring to the tables. By the time we are done with a craps table, everyone wants in because we are just having an awesome (loud) time with all the patrons, dealers, waitresses, and pit bosses. Even if you are losing, everyone seems to be having a great time. It is hard to get that same feeling at other casinos unless you are totally racking in the dough on a 30+ minute roll-fest. BTW, but $20 on Box Cars!!!
