    Hi,

I'm planning on going to Vegas for my R&R (in Afghanistan now). I am meeting my girl there when I fly in, and am wondering what are some of the best places to go while I am there. I don't know Exact dates when I will be there but it will be the middle to end of March most likely. What I would like to do when I'm there is:

One night go to a club that's just crazy, a really sexy and insane environment so we can dance and just get fucked up and have fun.

Another night more of a romantic thing, a nice restaurant with a nice view and a club that's probably more laid back and enjoyable but you can still have fun at.

Another question I had was what are the best (and open) pools to hit up during the day?

    A suggestion for limo service?
And what major places that possibly have military discounts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!!

Well, considering the R&R and also that you are meeting your girlfriend there, I would say you should be visiting your hotel room!

    j/k

I don't know about the most romantic restaurant but if you want carzy, sexy, "look at the pretty colors" kind of place
    try XS or Tryst.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo and it is a good value but don't expect too much from the rooms. Planet Hollywood has no resort fees and a much younger clientele. Cosmo appeared to be a good place too, but we did not spend too much time there. We went to Haze on NYE and it was pretty off the hook. Drinks are expensive (long islands were 17, vodka cranberry 14). Expect to pay 10ish for most cocktails around the strip at a minimum unless you're gambling.
we dined at Brand @ monte carlo and Mastro's Ocean Club. Either will be a classy date.

Mastro's Ocean Club will be a little classier as it is in the City Center not over looking the casino. Dinner for my wife and me ran us $140 including tip @ mastro's and $100 including tip @ brand. We also had one dinner at Pampas in the mall area of Planet Hollywood. It was pretty good, but it was the first Brazilian Steakhouse I have been too, so I have little to compare it to. (all you can eat beef was 41.95) Not sure on restaurants with a view. There are a few in the bellagio that overlook the fountain.
Limos- Presidential Limo, all the way. loved it. we did only use it for airport transfers, but from that experience we will only use them.

      Hope this helps

Dean Martin once said "A wife in Vegas, take my advice, its like going to China with a sack of rice."

That being said, swanky dinners and clubs you'll want to stay at Wynn/Encore. Dinner at Alex and then club at XS, Tryst, Surrender, or Blush

So XS DOES look pretty sweet, I was looking a Rain and it looked pretty wild just from the pictures. You guys have the xp there, though. I'll do XS Sat. and Bank Sun. and Vanity or Tao Fri.

now if I stay at the MGM will I get a discount for Wet Republic? Or if I stay at the Venetian will I get discount for Tao and Tao beach ?

            Thank you gents!

Moon has an AMAZING view. Decent music, but also low key at the same time

This is very true and perfect for your "laid back" night

Presidential Limo always gets great reviews as well.

As for Pools, you'll want to keep checking back once you have your dates locked in as the pools JUST start opening in late March usually.

wet republic will be open by mid march, depending on the days you want to go, and the weather, they may not have a cover charge. for the poster above who mentioned going to Alex at Wynn, it is shutting its doors for good this week, so that option is out. remember that you are coming during spring break/march madness, so the clubs will be busier than at most any other time of the year. there are tons of options for romantic dinners, depends partly on what type of food you like, as well as where you want to go after. just for continuity and momentum's sake, it's always easier to eat someplace and then party at the same place when you're done. and all the places with fun clubs have nice restaurants in them as well, so it shouldn't be hard to find a nice place to eat for your date night
