I stayed there in 2007 and had a palace tower suite...my sister said the augustus tower is very nice.
Caesar's has a pretty good record for giving upgrades...you could try a $20 or $50 at check in. We used a $20 to get the palace tower (very nice, two bath) and my sister used a $50-same stay-and they got an augustus suite.
Worst case, if they reject the tip you could just find out how much it would be to upgrade normally. I have also heard awful things about the classic rooms.5 days til AOD Invasion May 19-24! Palms Place Baby!

No, I didn't make it to the pool but I've heard it's nice, but a tame, more family like atmosphere. Nothing too special, so you might want to hit a pool party one or two days.
Def try the tip and post your success in the forum at fatwallet, here's the link:

Caesars Palace
I Stayed At Caesars Palce During New Years Eve Weekend. I Stayed In The Palace Tower In The Palace Tower Room. It Was A Good Room And I Liked It, But The View Over Looked The Parking Garage.
I Also Stayed Again In May. This Time I Stayed In The Augustus Tower Room. This Room Was Very Nice And I Enjoyed The Whole Time I Was There. The Room And The View Are Great.
The Rooms Are Kinda Pricey But It It Well Worth It.
I Havent Tried To Slip Any Money When Checking In. I Am Too Scarred And Dont Know What To Do Or How To Do It.

Me and my mate tried this as we have heard about it. So we decided to be kind as we wanted a fantastic upgrade. As soon as we handed over the money slipped underneath my CC she took the money and then called security for apparently blackmailing her into giving us an upgrade and we had to leave and we lost all the nights we had booked there, so in the end we had to fork out to pay for a room a night at the flamingo. Also has anyone heard if this works at planet hollywood as we are attempting to go back again in august and give this a whirl again.I swear feels like the last few nights we've been everywhere and back but I just cant remember it all

theres always 3 sides to every story, and that one sounds like a bunch of half truths, if theres any truth to it at all.
In fact the $20 tip works at Ceasars 90% of the time. http://www.frontdesktip.com/las-vegas/caesars-palace/Last edited by dnix; 07-09-2009, 11:00 AM.Blackout Artist

The biggest 3 factors I always see in upgrade reviews are:
1. money
2. small talk with the clerk
3. special occasionBlackout Artist
