  • Casual lounges at Palazzo/Venetian/Wynn/Encore

I know what places each hotel has by reading their website, but I don't know what they're like when it comes to actually getting in, getting a table/some space, etc. I have a group of 8-9 staying at The Palazzo for a Friday-Monday in a couple weeks. We've already decided on dinner restaurants and clubs for each night. I'm curious which lounges/bars at the hotels listed in the title are good for a group my size to just walk right in and have some drinks. We'll want a place to hangout and drink between dinner and the club on Friday and Saturday night. So what places are nice, but have easy access?

For anyone who's wondering, this is our lineup:

    Friday:
    Dinner: Tao @ Venetian
    Club: Bottle service at Tryst

    Saturday:
    Dinner: Cut @ Palazzo
    Club: Bottle service at XS

    Sunday:
    Dinner: Lavo @ Palazzo
    Club: Bottle service at Lavo

I'm only interested in bars/lounges at the hotels listed in the title, as we're obviously staying within those 4 hotels each night.

    Thanks JC'ers.

V Bar at Venetian is a cool spot. I was there on NYE before all the craziness and had a good time. We just walked in and no cover, they even had really good drink specials with low prices on NYE! Had few drinks before we hit up the Lavo.

Parasol Up - Parasol Down Lounge at Wynn is a chill spot. Outside patio with view of giant pool is very relaxing (they do have giant frog sings Louis Armstrong randomly , pretty cool. ). And no wait, no cover in that place too. Another spot at Wynn will be a Blush and I believe if you go before 10 there is no cover and you should be able to just walk in.

Never been to any of the bars/lounges at Palazzo or Encore so no comment on those.

I was in the V bar in Aug nice surroundings but high price drinks. I will spend my $ in the clubs for drinks just not in a pregame bar lol. Of course my friends and I do pregame in the poker rooms with free drinks or the buck mich at casino royale. We also go to O'sheas before club. Ok where cheap douches but it gets us a good buzz to allow us to drink slowly on our 2 bottles. At least O' sheas do get some hot girls in there from 8-midnight.

Parasol Up and Parasol Down are actually two different bars. One is downstairs, which I think is the one Y&N is referring to. It's by the lake (?). The other is right above it upstairs & pretty close to Tryst. You can see the line from the bar. Good place to pre-game before Tryst, since you can easily judge when you need to head toward the door.
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

Yes you are correct. I should've separate them on my post. Parasol down is the one by the lake/huge pool . And parasol up is one by the Tryst. And they do make some stiff drinks @ parasol up.

I would do that if it was just a few of us, but with 9 people, 5 of which will be girls, it wouldn't be very convenient to pre-game while gambling.

V bar is okay (I think these places depend on the crowd)

If we aren't having dinner at a restaurant, we pre-game.

I stopped going to bars before hitting the club.

I bring so many drinks, I don't see the point anymore.

              BTW, your line-up is KILLER.

Post a trip report when you are sober enough.

Ya, I would pre-game in the room, but I think it would kill the mood if we all went back to the room between dinner and the club. I plan on doing late dinners, so hopefully we'll only have around 30-60 minutes to kill between dinner and the club.

I have this site to thank for the killer line-up. My original line-up (before finding this site and gaining a massive amount of wisdom from it) was:

                Hotel: Mandalay Bay

Friday: Dinner at Lupo, then Rain
Saturday: Dinner at Stripsteak then LAX
Sunday: Dinner at China Grill then The Bank

It wouldn't have been bad, but I think that my new line-up is going to be much better.

I'll be posting a very detailed trip report as fast as possible after the trip. There's going to be 9 of us (4 guys/5 girls) all single, in our mid-late 20's, and big party types. Should be interesting to say the least.

The Fontana bar at the bellagio is also pretty cool. You can drink you drinks and watch the water show.
