  • MIrage or Venetian?

First post! Uh... yeah, not important, eh?

Anyway, I've booked the Mirage and the Venetian for my stay in July... just wondering which is the better buy - saving $200 for the Mirage or staying in a suite in the Venetian (which I got 25% off)? Difference overall is about $200, so... unsure!

Both are nice! Mirage redid most of their rooms last year, so just make sure to ask for one of the new ones when you check in. Venetians are very nice and are "all suites." I actually woke up in one the other day! haha.

ive stayed at both and it really depends what youre looking for. Venetian is class and more class with awesome pool, great rooms, good places to eat and tao, and Mirage is younger with Bare, Jet, Revolution and 1 or 2 good places to eat and a little less classy than venetian, both are very good times tho

I just stayed at the Mirage last weekend and honestly I was VERY pleasantly surprised with the room quality and just everything in general considering how good of a deal we got. I did end up in a room at the Venetian at one point but there is no way to compare the 2 because the venetian suite had to cost at least 10X what we paid, it had like 6 different rooms and a ton of beds and and and.... that being said, we LOVED the Mirage and I enjoyed the brunch buffet as much as a hungover person could

Thanks for all the comments - I had read some mixed reviews on the Mirage, so I wasn't totally sold on them. But it sounds like a good place to park my bags for my stay.

i've read a few reviews on yelp.com about the mirage showing its age (despite the remodels) such as old plumbing and thin walls. but it's a nice hotel and i had it on my short list. i'd save the $200 and stay there, its more money to spend elsewhere and you won't spend that much time in the hotel you stay in anyway, right?

I would go with Mirage, rooms are nice, great deals right now, good location and if you have not been to BARE, it is classy and a great pool party around 4ish, get there early or be willing to pop the cash.

Personally I would go with the Mirage. I've stayed their twice and both times I really liked where we were on the strip and there are enough nice restaurants/ect inside to keep you spending/staying within the hotel (which I like).

Yeah, and even though Jet is pretty hit and miss when it's good it's really good, and Revolution is fun for pre-drinking

Mirage better as it doesnt stink in the casino/shops/lobby!! Great pool.. only thing is its so damn big that if you dont request a room by the elevator and you're a girl, that trek back from the club will seem like 4 miles if you're at the end of the hallway
